The Center of Hope is a wonderful organization helping many people in Parker County.

I volunteered with Center of Hope last year and intend on volunteering again this year. I truly love the classes they offer to those that truly are willing to learn. I enjoyed the summer program, Camp Hope for the child of Parker County. What a joy!

I have been an employee of Center of Hope for 11 years in various capacities. I have seen many people's lives changed because of the work we do here. We don't believe in hand outs, but we do believe in a hand up. Everyone needs someone to walk along side them from time to time, that is what we do. We do so much more than give out groceries or a hot meal. We have tutors that help participants prepare for their GED. We have teachers that help with job skills. We have ESL classes, and so much more.

I moved here a year ago this September and I have asked God to place on my heart a special organization that helps those in need and I believe the Center of Hope is where he directed me. I have been a volunteer at the Parker County Center of Hope since the beginning of 2022. I am originally from Indiana where I was also a volunteer for our small-town food pantry. To say the least, this place is fantastic and I am very proud to be a part of "everything" they do here...from the food pantry to the meals, and the education programs, and counseling they offer to those in need. The staff and other volunteer here are great to work with and they truly put the clients first and foremost and do everything they can to make sure their needs are met. I am very glad to see that the Center of Hope is faith based and a God-fearing organization.

I am currently taking my second computer class after completing the offered basic class. Our instructors have been exceptional patient & carrying at all times. I feel more confident within myself knowing I can depend on receiving a better quality of life due to this class.

The Parker County Center of Hope provides exceptional job skills training for those individuals who may be unemployed or underemployed. They have an amazing team of volunteers with specific Human Resource, Training, and Industry related experience who work with people as individuals to become better equipped to meet their career goals.

I am attending computer classes to include Basic Computers, Word, Excel and Power Point. I have completed the basic and am attending Word. The class has been excellent and I am looking forward to learning more each week. The classes are free, and I highly recommend them if you need the information for work or home.

They have helped me learn a lot about the computer. The room is comfortable and so are the chairs.

God is doing amazing things with Parker County Center of Hope! The volunteers and staff truly have a heart for helping those in need. Center of Hope is a place that is changing lives by offering a hand up, not simply a hand out.

The team at Parker County Center of Hope is quite remarkable. Their staff and the countless number of volunteers tirelessly work to help the under privileged in the community. They provide food when needed but more importantly provide other assistance such as educational opportunities which are intended to help individuals help themselves. An amazing organization!

Serving the participants in the dining room here pushed me out of my comfort zone and blessed me in my efforts to bless others. It's amazing how many different programs flourish here at the Center of Hope. I've seen so many different kinds of people walk through the doors with many different needs and stories. Ultimately it's the Center's focus on helping equip those people to do better for themselves that builds relationships and can transform lives. It's amazing to watch God bless them with an abundance of volunteers and amazing community support through food drives and donations so they can keep blessing others. Getting to be a part of something so impactful is wonderful!

Center of Hope works hard to make a difference in the lives of the people it serves. From the first time someone walks in the door, the love of Jesus is evident. The volunteers are committed to reaching out, with out judgment, to welcome each individual. Whether it's groceries that are needed, or help with a medical or utility bill, or more long term help, like studying to learn English to get a better job, Center of Hope staff and volunteers are willing to go the extra mile. This is a place where HOPE is shared on a daily basis.

The Center of Hope provides a quality helping hand to individuals, and families in the Weatherford community. The volunteers and staff truly care about people they come in contact with and who walks through the door. This is a hidden gem in the Weatherford community

I've been a volunteer since last December. Parker County COH is there to assist families who need a helping hand. Their goal is to educate, inspire, and help move a person forward so they can provide for themselves. Everyone at COH shows the caring love of Christ. This place is awesome!

While going through “training” to be a volunteer, you are introduced to and spend time in several different areas at Center of Hope. In my opinion, this allows you to receive a better perspective of where God wants you to be placed.

The COH is very organized and has a lot to offer those in need. It isn’t just a helping hand to provide groceries and a meal, but to provide resources to aid someone to better their life and in some cases be introduced to Jesus.

I have always sponsored food drives within my neighborhood, and I finally was able to be a volunteer in the food pantry! I love it! It’s very organized & easy to help the patrons that come in! High quality produce, meats, cold products & Ofcourse non perishable items are always available!

I love how this organization meets so many different needs of our community. They offer daily hot lunches, a well stocked food pantry offering non-perishable and perishable foods, training for new job skills for the unemployed, childcare for parents attending training sessions, summer day camps for school age children in their own neighborhoods, and an upscale thrift store.
The Hope Chest, the thrift store, provides a variety of new and gently used items ranging from clothing to furniture to housewares to crafting supplies to jewelry and home decor. It is so fun to roam the clean, well organized store and find hidden treasures at reasonable prices.
I am proud to be a volunteer for this organization and encourage everyone to donate time, money, or goods as we make Parker County a place that meets people’s needs.

As a new resident of the community, The Hope Chest Resale has been a wonderful place to meet people caring for their neighbors. 100% of the sales here go towards the betterment of those who need temporary assistance or life changing knowledge. The word is getting out through our regular customers as well as social media posts that the Hope Chest and Center of Hope exist for this soul purpose. Jesus taught that our lives are not about ourselves and The Center of Hope is a perfect example.

I have been privileged to watch the Center of Hope transform over the years from a good and striving organization to a great and successful one. Under great and devoted leadership, committed employees and dedicated volunteers, COH has truly reflected the love and service of Jesus. There is no judgment. There is a desire to help our fellowman help himself. The Hope Chest which is a program of COH has a beautiful upscale resale shop and is located on the south side of the COH building. They take donations that are passed along to the shop or other ministries. Next time you drop off your donations, take time to visit the Hope Chest.

Parker County Center of Hope is a tightly run ship. Staff and volunteers work diligently and squeeze a lot of community aid out of every dollar. Speech and attitudes make clear that all are serving to glorify Christ Jesus.

The Center of Hope is a wonderful, Christ-centered ministry that not only offers immediate assistance and guidance to those in need but also has educational and training programs to make a difference in their lives for the future. It serves the clients with love and compassion, not guilt and shame. And as a volunteer that has served at other similar ministries, I can say it's a joy to serve here and all service is truly appreciated. When you're there, whether a client or volunteer, you feel the love of God and the love of your fellow servant.

My name is Christina Davis. I am a participant at the Parker County Center of Hope. I get SSI and I do all my schooling here to try to get my GED. I'm learning how to read and spell here at the Center of Hope. The Center has also helped me with dental work, which I paid for. Center of Hope helps me. They helped me get my trailer house fixed after the big freeze in February. All the pipes burst in my house, which belongs to my sister, and I pay her rent. She did not have insurance on the house and I wasn't able to pay for the repairs. I let my Leola, my lifecoach, Pat Johnson, my teacher and also Colleen, know what was happening at my house because they were worried about me. Center of Hope sent a crew of four men to my house and they did the repairs on the floor, the electricity and some of the plumbing. They gave me good information on how to fix the roof too. They also helped me install a new stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and a new freezer that I had purchased. I bought new ceiling fans and lights and they helped me install them. I love Center of Hope because if it wasn't for them helping me, I wouldn't have all this new stuff, and I am very blessed.

I will never ask for assistance again. Rude Office staff like I was taking up their time.

Center of Hope is an amazing nonprofit here in Parker County! The have many programs that help the less fortunate in assorted ways. Using their own words sums up what they do perfectly: "dedicated to helping others break the cycle of poverty in Parker County." They do this by not only giving to those in need, but also, more importantly, by educating and empowering those in need to help themselves. They are starting a wonderful program to help people in the construction industry get better jobs through training and certification. Once people go through this program, there is a job fair to help them get hired. Paula Robinson does an excellent job, and if you want to support a local charitable entity, support Center of Hope.

The Center of Hope provides a wide array of services for the folks of Parker County. Paula is always cheerful and has a wonderful attitude. We partner with Center of Hope for food drives and there are tons of opportunities for everyone to volunteer and help out the community. Keep up the great service to the community.

Center of Hope is a true jewel of Parker County doing God's work. Paula Robinson and her team are giving a hand up versus a handout. While it is important to help, it is equally important to recognize those with a genuine need and desire to change, the Center of Hope maintains their fiscal responsibility by doing just that. They help people at a deeper level often with a simple but meaningful prayer. This is an honest organization to support by donating food, gently used clothing, your time or skills. With this organization, it feels better to give than receive.

I am blessed everyone I go to Center of Hope to volunteer. My favorite moments are during the mock interviews in the Jobs for Life class. These ladies are so eager to learn. I’m thankful for an organization like Center of Hope that cares for our Parker County community!

Paula has God with her every day as the Center of Hope truly tries to change the cycle of poverty. A child who only knows that life needs someone to step in and show them another way. From what they eat to how they learn Center of Hope is showing them a better way of life.

What a blessing the Center of Hope is to Parker County. The jobs for life program is preparing people with a new opportunity to gain self confidence and specific training for real job skills needed in the work place. Center of Hope strides to meet all 3 areas of need: physical, emotional, and spiritual. They exceed those expectations!

Center of Hope so much more than a food pantry, which I use to think it was. It works with the clients to better their lives. They have work training programs, assist in finding the correct agency to best help the client and really do change the lives of clients that come to them. I would recommend supporting this wonderful non-profit. I personally know that the hearts of everyone at Center of Hope is 100% behind their mission statement.

We are very fortunate to have Paula and her team of angels providing for those experiencing hard times in our community. Their programs are designed to give a hand-up and help folks get back on their feet. Lots of educational/vocational training programs available. When you don't know where else to turn, turn to the Center of Hope.

The education they provide in the many different classes offered is beyond impressive. They employees and volunteers truly care about each individual and it shows. God works through them everyday. I have been conected to Center of Hope for over two years. During this time I have watched a change of direction that has resulted in truly changed lives. Like so many providers they began as a basic provision provider, food, utility assistance and basic advising of client needs. In 2009 they transformed this format to Relational ministry. They actually placed an expectation on their clients, to participate in their care.

Today they provide computer eduacation and a Jobs for Life class that has grown ever session. Clients are finding not only jobs but a greater feeling of joy in their lives.
