Papoose Club supports many youth programs in our county. They are organized and creative with their fundraising. The members and leaders of the organization put a lot of effort and energy in donating their time. This group is very community minded and generous to programs like Robotics and Girls on the Run to name a few. Blaine County is lucky to have a group like this to support our youth!
The Papoose Club provided our organization with funds for two essential additions to our office: a calculator library and high quality printers. These are important resources for our students, many of whom do not have access to this equipment at home, a fact which was recognized by the membership. It was a pleasure to present out projects to The Papoose Club. They are passionate about the young people in our area and are dedicated to providing support in a variety of ways. Their membership is educated about the needs in the community and they work to solve problems by supporting countless organizations that provide relief. In addition to my work as a nonprofit employee, I deeply appreciate the community events that The Papoose Club puts on. In my experience, they are well-organized, vibrant, and above all inclusive. I am so grateful for the many ways The Papoose Club supports the community!
Papoose Club provided us with critical funds for materials costs for our elementary, after-school programs that serve under-resoourced youth from three of our local, public schools. We are so grateful for the funding they provide our local nonprofits that support our community!
The Papoose Club in Blaine County has been a wonderful supporter of Camp Rainbow Gold. Having yearly support from a local organization is key to keeping our camp programs free for the children diagnosed with cancer and their families that we serve. The week-long camp programs allow these courageous children to step away from their diagnosis and just be a normal kid. It is apparent that the members of the Papoose Club are passionate about their local community and see the value in supporting and giving back to others in need.
I support the Papoose Club because they are a group of dedicated people passionate about giving back to their community in the form of providing small grants to organizations, groups, schools, businesses, that support kids activities in Blaine County, ID. The people involved in the Papoose Club all volunteer a lot they organize 3 fundraisers to raise the money they grant right back to the community. The papoose club is community oriented and also hosts a couple of fun community events kindercup and quigley nordic, which are fun kids alpine and nordic ski races. The people who make up the Papoose club are passionate, hardworking, dedicated and successful at giving back to their community supporting kids social, environmental , educational and athletic programming in Blaine County.
I was fortunate to receive a grant through the Papoose Club, providing my Early Childhood Special Education classroom with an indoor growing station. Throughout the winter we grew a variety of vegetables (lettuces, radishes, carrots, peas, potaotoes, cilantro, basil, sunflowers etc.) that were used in our weekly cooking activiites. In the Spring, we provided the starts for Hailey Elementary School's outdoor garden.
The children came away with an appreciation of healthy eating as well as an understanding of the process of food growing from the garden and being presented to the table...
I am forever grateful to The Papoose club!
Papoose has been an amazing local non-profit. They are a part of the community fabric. They've been putting on the free KinderCup alpine race since 1957. The Olympic gold medal winner Picabo Street was a Kindercup champion! Other famous Sun Valley area skiers to have been past Kindercup champions include: Langely McNeal, Graham Watanabe, Wyatt Caldwell and more! Both my kids raced in the KinderCup, as well as in the newer Nordic Cup race that Papoose Club also holds every year for free for valley youth.
The Papoose Club has been a partner with The Hunger Coalition for over 17 years and has been a long time supporter and donor for our Infant Formula Initiative. Since 2005, The Papoose Club has helped provide over 36,000 bottles to local Blaine County parents and their infants. It’s a program that helps build trust and rapport, and has been vital for many families these past 17 years. Thanks to the support of Papoose, no family who has come to our doors seeking formula has ever been turned away. 100% of parents who’ve reached out for help have been given the formula they need to raise a happy, healthy newborn. Members of The Papoose Club are kind and care about our community, and have always been a pleasure to work with.
