Causes: Hot Lines & Crisis Intervention, Mental Health, Suicide Prevention
Mission: Provide crisis intervention, shelter and advocacy services to victims of domestic and sexual violence. Also provide outreach and prevention education activities.
Programs: The hotline provides a shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. In the current year the hotline served over 27 women and children.
the hotline provides a free, confidential telephone crisis and counseling service available 24 hours a day to help those suffering any emotional crisis. Services were provided to 260 people via telephone and 67 in person.
the hotline has created a workplace for victims and volunteers to weave recycled fabric from its thrift stores and transform them into rugs, handbags, totes, and other useful attractive items. This weaving operation creates a workplace for victims and volunteers to share ideas and life goals and assists with healing and work skill development.
