Causes: Health
Mission: Empower healthier lifestyles by fostering innovative ideas for cancer prevention, health and wellness. Osana Health Innovations Foundation (Osana) was established to bring forward revolutionary ideas and integrative solutions for cancer prevention, health, and wellness, and infuse these ideas into the American culture. Our projects align consciousness with health and wellness to prevent cancer and optimize healthier lifestyles now, and seed the population with a mindset for the future. Our current project in motion is targeted at colon cancer prevention using colonic lavage method for precolonoscopy cleansing to better outcomes. Our goal is to reduce the incidence of colon cancer by bringing lavage bowel preparation method to gastroenterology as a standard of care. Your donation helps our campaign to educate patients and medical faculty on the benefits of lavage bowel preparation and raise capital for clinical trials. Following the success of our first campaign, we will establish additional campaigns to support clinical trial of colonic lavage method for chemotherapy-induced constipation, opiod-induced constipation, functional bowel disorder, and other emerging medical indications associated with constipation.
Results: Offering patients another option bowel preparation for colonoscopy at Barton Hospital in California. HydroPrep Colonic Lavage Bowel Preparation Method education program is complete and available online for medical institutions to acquire this service. The courses are approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Hydroprep lavage bowel preparation (LBP) method is currently in use at Barton Hospital, South Lake Tahoe, California with patient satisfaction surveys showing that lavage bowel preparation efficacy is just as good or better than traditional preparations, is just as safe, and is more tolerable than traditional preps. Ninety-six percent of patients would choose HydroPrep LBP for their next colonoscopy. Patients are self-scheduling their colonoscopy and will travel from out of the area to a facility with LBP.
Target demographics: We bring forward an integrative solution for colon cancer prevention, targeting a tolerable bowel preparation for precolonoscopy cleansing. HydroPrep Method helps with those people who can't tolerate traditional bowel preparation and need an effective, safe, and tolerable alternative.
Geographic areas served: Osana is located in South Lake Tahoe, California, and members have been collaborating on ideas for cancer prevention and healthy lifestyles since 2010. Our education for nurses is available online for global exposure and access.
Programs: education to patients, doctors, nurses, hospitals and endoscopy centers on the benefits of Hydroprep lavage bowel preparation method, and programs with on-site assistance for hospitals to acquire and integrate this service. Osana also provides consultation and the nursing personnel for clinical trials associated with our cause.
