Causes: Arts & Culture, Theater
Mission: The mission of oregon children's theatre is to create exceptional theater experiences that transform lives. We do this by producing professional stage plays for young audiences, and through arts education classes and programs.
Programs: Children's theatre performances were presented live to 91,791 children and families at a price affordable to all families, including 56,233 school children at a reduced rate or at no charge, thereby exposing them to this art form and expanding their cultural experience.
oct created and delivered free educational theater programs on tour to 198 schools and community organizations throughout the region, reaching 31,392 children. These school performances covered a range of educational topics, and were provided in response to requests from educators.
oct provided theater training to 1,708 young people through its acting academy and young professional programs taught on-site in its studio classrooms. It also delivered fee-based workshops and residencies in schools through its loud & clear program.
