Octane's medical device & investor forum (mdif) is the leading medtech industry conference in the west. It's where industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors come together in the nation's most dynamic medical device environment to see the latest technologies and investment trends. Octane's ophthalmology technology summit (ots):this event creates a local forum where leading ophthalmology technologists, researchers, clinicians, and entrepreneurs can come together to discuss current industry trends, unmet clinical needs, and new business opportunities all to fuel the ophthalmology ecosystem in orange county, california. It brings together the orange county technology ecosystem, consisting of executive leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, venture capitalists, academicians, and strategic advisors. Firsties take place throughout the year at various orange county-based locations. Octane startup series - the octane startup series is a half-day program focused on startups. Four to five of octane's annual partners present individually about their area of expertise (legal, accounting, marketing, finance, how to raise capital, etc. ) and the issues critical to startup companies. At these programs, attendees make valuable connections and build relationships with entrepreneurs while learning from industry experts on current relevant topics. The octane startup series takes place throughout the year at various orange county-based locations. Octane launchpad alumni event - the octane launchpad alumni event provides an opportunity for octane launchpad alumni to come together for peer-to-peer networking, to see the resources and tools octane and its partners can provide to them, and to be introduced to new sources of capital. launchpad sbdc: accelerates entrepreneurs and start-ups through a comprehensive program that quickly identifies and connects great people, capital and technology. Launchpad provides critical, individualized and value-added support to early stage biomedical andinformation technology companies through mentoring, coaching, and education. The launchpad sbdc is hosted by octane foundation for innovation and is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the u. S. Small business administration and california state university fullerton and extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis. Launchpad sbdc is part of the orange county/inland empire regional sbdc network. Orange county technology action network (dba octane) contributes a 100% cash match, along with sbdc/sba, to any expenses incurred through this contract.
