Operation Mom services the families of military members throughout the world. Their mission statement invests family support as their primary responsibility, which has not changed since their inception in 2001. They provide directed care and support for those left behind, meeting emotional, physiological and financial burdens along the way. While they provide financial grants for families and scholarships to the children of military members graduating from high to school and entering college, the lions share of their received donations go towards the shipping of thousands of care packages to the troops world wide. Operation mom is entirely volunteer operated and administrated, including the board members and staff. None receives any financial reward or stipend for their services. This allows over 90% of all donated funds to be used for the troops and their families. They consider their job well done at each years end when they have spent every dollar, and do not bat an eye at their very high reported expenses versus income ratio. Most of the income again goes towards postage at $10+ per box. As they look towards the new year and new funding sources from corporations, businesses and individuals like yourselves, they prepare to charge forward again and make a difference in the lives of those whom they hold in their hands.
