My account has been locked out for a long time. I just resolved some issues that prevented me from donating. So, I thought I would try again. I followed all instructions to the “T”, to no avail. I finally called support, and they were perplexed as well. Finally, I hear oh that’s the problem. I was instructed to use a password that they issued. It worked, only to find that all my rewards were canceled. I called back and found that their rewards had expired. I was never told so. I assumed it was like a blood bank. You get to keep what you earn. Apparently, it falls under “restrictions apply”. I was told, sorry can’t help you. So, if you want to build a relationship with a blood donation company, I would not suggest that you Do Not use One Blood. I hope that they don’t let my blood expire too. A simple email notification would have been nice for customer relations and business development.

I had made an appointment for donating blood for 7/3/2020 at 10:45 am through their website that was confirmed by e-mail. On the day of the appointment I called to confirm the bus would be at the location and my appointment was confirmed once again. I then drove 45 minutes to the bus. Upon arrival I was told I was not on the schedule by an exceptionally rude individual. She demanded to see the e-mail conformation, which was on my computer at home, so I called OneBlood in her presence and and the individual on the phone confirmed my appointment with her. She told the individual that she did not care as I was not on her schedule and she did not have time. I left and called OneBlood from the car to file a complaint and was transferred by the attendant to voice mail. I left a message and asked for a return call, but that call never came. Wasted over 1.5 hours to donate blood only to have to deal with some rude individual and not donating after all. One would think that this could have been handled better. I know I will never donate blood through this organization again, there are better ones out there.
