Mission: Youth Lead’s mission is to train youth leadership through student-led experiences. Our vision is to see all youth, regardless of age, ability, background, or experience, involved in meaningful, student-led service.
Programs: Our student-led programs give middle and high school students from all backgrounds an opportunity to work together in enrichment-oriented leadership programming that provides real leadership experience. Emerging Leaders is an after-school program designed as the first step towards community-level leadership for a student who is new to volunteering and service-leadership. A series of after-school trainings, led by Youth Lead's role-model staff, Emerging Leader graduates, and the staff of local community-based organizations, empowers the team of students to design and lead their own service-project. The students choose the issues they want to tackle and the organizations with which they want to work, and after ten meetings they lead their peers and other assembled volunteers in an effort to make a real impact in the community. The Fellows program is a year-long intensive leadership program for Emerging Leader graduates.
