I have been volunteering with One Accord Inc (Kidsalley.org) for about ten years and I found this organization is essential to the Camden community and others around it.
I remember the founder saying my vision is to empower hope and change in one child in one house on one block at a time and watch it spread. I have seen this organization transform from service children from 3 to 12 into servicing the entire family. Now, the organization has a teen mentoring program and an adult enrichment group. The organization has help families with housing needs, teen with prom dresses, food for the families and most importantly love and a sense of value/worth in this world. For these reasons, I travel over an hour every Saturday to "Be the CHANGE I want to see in the World", as well as, allow myself to be changed in ways I never thought possible.
