Mission: Odaiko new england is a taiko group. Taiko is japanese drums. Odaiko new england uses taiko through performances, educational programs and outreach activities, as a means to educate and celebrate our multicultural society, bring diverse communities together, and promote positive images of asian culture.
Programs: 1) in 2017, odaiko new england presented 21 performances, reaching (approximately) 16,000 audience members throughout the new england area. 2) in 2017, odaiko new england presented 14 school-based lecture demonstrations, reaching (approximately) 2,600 students throughout the new england area. 3) in 2017, odaiko new england taught 8 workshops, reaching (approximately) 275 participants. 4) in 2017, odaiko new england taught 2 weekly classes, reaching (approximately) 40 participants.
