Mission: Oaks & Acorns inspires, activates and sustains mutually rewarding solutions by promoting meaningful conversations and relationships among people of all ages. We envision a world that celebrates the mosaic of all generations exchanging wisdom, experience, and innovation.
Programs: Imagine San Diego brings state-of-the-art collaboration tools to local communities, and use those tools to forge consensus, identify root causes of local issues, discover assets that already exist in our neighborhoods to address those issues, and to help those communities shape their own lasting solutions and achieve continuous, positive change. Imagine San Diego works with the following principles:
- intergenerational collaboration is our preferred way of working- strength-based and vision-based communications which invite participants to name what matters and how things could be different
- integration of arts-based activities into civic dialogue- a commitment to place-based intercultural communities of practice within which people share ideas, resources and practical tools that make a tangible community difference.
