Mission: To ensure that individuals from niagara county who are developmentally disabled or intellectually, physically or functionally limited, have the opportunity to reach their maximum potential, independence and integration into the community.
Programs: Residential services - strives to provide a home-like environment for individuals with developmental disabilities while promoting growth and independence in daily living skills and social interaction. An emphasis is placed on individual choice and integration into the community, consistent with individual abilities and interests. There are many options offered across niagara county that provide varying degrees of supervision and support to the residents. Also, provides assistance to families with a family member who is disabled or to individuals with disabilities who live on their own.
day habilitation - provides individualized day programming designed for adults with severe or multiple developmental disabilities and health-related needs. Additionally, provides a variety of work training, placement and employment support to individuals with disabilities.
vocational -the vocational services program provides activities that prepare an individual for a job in the community. Individuals train at one of the agency's sites and earn a wage based on their productivity. Training is designed to increase independence and productivity, and enable integration into a work setting. Training options include: subcontracting services (pre-vocational); food service, and environmental services. Additional training opportunities and work readiness are available through transition readiness for employment in the community (t. R. E. C. ) program in conjunction with niagara universitys college of education.
