Mission: Nurtury gives greater boston's youngest children in need, birth to age 5, the opportunity to reach their full potential by investing in school readiness, promoting healthy development, and strengthening families.
Programs: Centers - operation of center-based early care and education programs for children ranging in age from 1 month to 5 years. The early care and education centers are structured and operated in a way that mirrors traditional center-based care. Each center is managed by a program director and program assistant. Early education specialists assist teaching staff with implementing a curriculum that addresses the needs of each child.
family child care - operation of family child care programs for children whose ages range from 3 months to 5 years. Care is provided through independent contracted in-home family child care providers. Nurtury provides a number of support services to family child care providers.
learning lab - the learning lab at bromley-heath is an innovative early care and education center for children whose ages range from 1 month to 8 years. In addition to the services of traditional centers, the learning lab also has an expanded family engagement component to its programming. It is also designed for future out-of-school (ost) for ages 4 to 8.
nutrition program - breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are served family-style daily to the 1,200 plus children who are enrolled in nurtury's programs. Nurtury's registered dietitian plans the meals at the six centers, and monitors the family child care food program for quality.
Associated goes way beyond day care in providing care for the whole family because it understands that the parent is the first teacher. The children at Associated are primarily classified as "at risk", whether that is because of poverty, abuse or challenging family circumstances.
