Mission: The Northwest Earth Institute is a nationally recognized leader in the development of innovative programs that empower individuals and organizations to transform culture toward a sustainable and enriching future. These programs emphasize individual responsibility, the importance of a supportive community, and the dual need to walk lightly on and to take action for the earth. By reaching out to people in their home, workplace, faith center, neighborhood, and community, NWEI provides easy access to tools for individual and cultural change. Each program encourages participants to explore values, attitudes, and actions through discussion with other people. The Northwest Earth Institute offers eight different discussion courses: Sustainable Systems at Work, Menu for the Future, Healthy Children - Healthy Planet, Global Warming: Changing CO2urse, Choices for Sustainable Living, Voluntary Simplicity, Discovering a Sense of Place, and Reconnecting with Earth. Stay tuned for the highly anticipated launch of our newest course due out in September of 2010 entitled, “A World of Health: Connecting People, Places and Planet.” Order copies online soon or by phone and call our Outreach Team at 503-227-2807 to learn more.
