Mission: To provide both ambulance and water rescue services to horry countysc. This service supplements the county fire and rescue expicallyduring the busy summer months.
Programs: The rescue squad provides ambulance services to the local community for emergencies and provides back up ambulance service to the horry county fire and rescue during the busy summer months. The squad provides a water rescue service in the county and along the icw and coastal atlantic ocean for the county. In addition the squad provides cpr training through the local area to interested persons and groups. The squad operates a explorer and cadet program consisting of young persons who are interested is rescue operation teaching them basic cpr and rescue operations and preparing them to become members when they reach the apporiate age. During 2007 the squad ran 1221 rescue calls.
this program is responsible for purchasing and maintaining rescue suppies, and items required for ambulance inventories in carring out our mission to offer rescue services to the community.
