I have been doing TNR in my development for several years and needed help with paying for the spay and neuter I found out about NBHA from one of the rescue groups at people for animals thankfully NBHA has stepped up and has helped cover the cost getting the cat population under control in my area has been a blessing they have also covered the cost for sick and injured cats
I have been using the services of the North Brunswick Humane Association for almost 20 years. Their assistance in helping me tnr countless cats in the township has been lifesaving. They are responsive and always happy to step up! They also use events throughout the township to educate the public about the importance of tnr and to promote adoptions from shelters.
It is a very well-run organization staffed by compassionate volunteers.
The North Brunswick Humane Association has assisted me with numerous trap, neuter and return projects for community cats, saving countless lives! They are always ready, willing and able to provide financial assistance with tnr and medical bills. NBHA also promotes tnr education to individuals and communities, providing a very valuable service. They also sponsor a very successful and popular Annual Super Cat Adoption Day, providing local rescues and shelters with the opportunity to find forever homes.
In July 2017 I found four adorable feral kittens on my patio. I called my friend Donna, who volunteers at the North Brunswick Humane Association, to ask her what I should do. She put me in touch with Judy who has a lot of experience in trapping cats. Judy set up have-a-heart traps for me on my patio and porch and with much patience and many hours of surveillance helped me trap all four kittens and their feral parents. After bringing them to the vet to get them spayed, neutered and vaccinated, Judy fostered the four kittens until they were socialized and eventually taken to PetSmart in Hamilton where they all were adopted. The two adults were released back to the wooded area where they lived.
The caring volunteers at this agency did everything right in working together to assist me in finding a happy solution to my dilemma.

I can’t thank this organization (especially Donna Hildreth) enough for all their help with the feral cats in my neighborhood. We had a really bad problem with feral cats a few years ago. The cats were constantly pregnant and their babies were dying after they were born because they were not being properly cared for. I contacted them through one of my neighbor’s recommendations and their volunteers came out to assist me. They taught me how to trap the cats so they could be spayed/neutered, and given rabies vaccines and then returned to the community to live out their lives. They helped me trap them as well because I had no experience doing this and assisted in bringing them to the vet when they were found to be sick or injured. They did not ask me to pay for anything. I made a donation to the organization that I could afford. The mama cat who was having all the kittens was trapped and spayed and now lives a very nice existence in our community - and no more babies!. This was a wonderful experience and far better than the alternative which would have been to call animal control and have these cats euthanized. I thank God for this organization and the wonderful volunteers who serve it.
I met NBHA when I needed help learning how to TNR many years ago. They took the time to teach me how to trap and expanded their educational services to Jamesburg where I live as a result. We were overrun with feral cats and they stepped up to help me when needed. I can't thank them enough for what they do and I encourage donations to them all the time.
What a wonderful group of people who care about our furry friends. Education is their focus to help others learn how to care for their pets when times are tough and help the community ferals too.

This group of animal advocates helps individuals, shelters and those interested in animal welfare. They provide funds to shelters and groups for TNR and veterinary care. They network to find foster families for animals and follow up to help get them adopted. With their help, we were able to get a group of friendly cats that kept growing in our neighborhood spayed/neutered and adopted before over population became a problem. I can't say enough about how responsive and caring they are.
I work with a very small group that does TNR for several towns in New Jersey . We maintain a number of large colonies of feral cats and North Brunswick Humane Society has helped us many many times in getting our cats spayed and neutered at no cost to us . They have also helped with informing the public about how important it is to spay and neuter feral cats . It is the only humane answer to the exploding population of unwanted cats due to no fault of their own but to human ignorance and cruelty . Donna Hildreth at North Brunswick is one of the most caring and dedicated individuals I have ever met
Purrfect Cat Catchers
The North Brunswick Humane Association (NBHA) has been serving the Greater Brunswick area for over 15 years. NBHA is not a shelter or rescue; rather it is a local charity that networks and partners with local rescues and shelters to provide venues for adoptions, subsidize spay/neuter cost, and provide other support for disenfranchised animals in our community. NBHA collects and distributes pet food to shelters and feral cat colony caretakers, assists with finding lost pets and promotes policies to protect animals. In addition to the hundreds of cats and dogs spayed or neutered through the NBHA Spay/Neuter Assistance Plant, the NBHA Community Cat Program has provided spay/neuter and veterinary assistance to over 1300 cats by providing training and financial assistance to resident who wish to build safe communities for free roaming cats. Volunteers are always needed for NBHA events which include tabling events and special events like our Super Cat Adoption Day and our Annual Dog Walkathon and Adoption Day. NBHA hopes more people will support its lifesaving work through volunteering or making donations to our programs to provide spay/neuter and other veterinary assistance to homeless animals.
