Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Education, Elementary & Secondary Schools, Literacy, Remedial Reading & Encouragement
Mission: Our mission is to help close the achievement gap for economically disadvantaged children by improving educational opportunities for students, supporting families, and encouraging excellence and innovation in the classroom.
Target demographics: Economically disadvantaged children
Direct beneficiaries per year: Last summer S.P.A.R.K. provided over 45 hours of instruction and impacted over 100 students at 3 locations in Arlington and South Dallas. We distributed 130 giftcards to neighborhood restaurants and awarded 3 grand prizes. In addition, one or our corporate partners conducted an employee backpack and school supply drive for our students and provided 150 backpacks with school supplies at the conclusion of the summer.

Programs: Academic and career mentoring, tutoring and our summer math and reading program, S.P.A.R.K. (Summers Producing Academically Ready Kids)
