My experience was horrible. I applied for a kitten through this rescue, I submitted my application through one of the pet stores they work with and said they will give you a call in the next day or two for a phone interview. Three days go by without a phone call and I get an email that said i was incredibly unfit to care for a cat because I live near a busy street. But didn't say if I got the cat or not. No courtesy of a phone interview. I had to get the lady's number through the pet store and called her the next day. I know the second person who applied for that cat and they said that they were told there were two applications there's and mine and that I had been denied. When I called No Boundries they gave me an hour long berating about how I am unfit because of the street I'm on and I would have the guilt of him getting hit by a car if he got out, but by the end of the conversation she adopted the cat to me. Never came to meet me in person she just had the pet store staff process the paper work.
On top of that it was promised in their paper work that he would be up to date on all his shots and flea meds. He was well over a month late on everything, he came infested with fleas and kennel cough which also got my other cat sick and now I am up to my ears in vet bills.
DONT EVER ADOPT FROM THEM!!!
I feel horrible for all of the animals that go through this agency.
Unfortunately, No Boundaries Animal Rescue has a very temperamental co-founder. My family applied for 1.5 year old cat adoption and was rejected due to interrupting her (Meagan's) "main" work! I was concerned about the well-being of the cats being cooped up in a 20" cage for more than 6 days while we anxiously waited for her low priority review process! Our concern for the cat’s well being upset her, so she did a "spite" rejection just because I called her phone number (as listed on her business card!) and questioned the cats well being, she stated "I'm going to deny your application right now!". We just wanted to bring the cat to our home with a loving and caring family, there should have been absolutely no reason for rejection, ZERO! Their explanation was "we are not obligated to let you know the reasons why we denied your application". Despite the fact that we called 2 times and sent several emails about our good intentions after waiting 4 days to save the cat and adopt, it just upset them more. Our Kids are devastated; we are in shock, unbelievable!
Now we are worried that the cat will eventually be euthanized and "No Boundaries Animal Rescue" really cares more about themselves rather than the well-being of their animals. This is so unfortunate and so sad that a nonprofit group can operate like this.
