Mission: To share the gospel of jesus christ to unreached people groups in ethiopia. To give care to children in ethiopia who have been abandoned or removed from parental care by government authority.
Programs: Working alongside indigenous ethiopian churches, supported 36 evangelists working in 22 muslim villages to bring the good news of jesus christ. 20,101 heard the gospel for the first time with 699 becoming christ-followers followed by personal discipleship and baptism. Two churches were constructed in towns where there has never been a christian presence before. Four 2-day workshops for local ethiopian pastors and evangelists ranging from 50 to 100 in attendance were offered to give training in evangelism strategies, basic bible and dynamics of church planting. 40 children in a rural muslim village received an outstanding educational foundation along with christian character basics. Newlife provides full financial resources for an orphanage caring for 49 abandoned children resulting in 9 children adopted to families in the u. S. And 17 receiving family permanency with ethiopian families. Two adoption seminars were hosted with 30 to 50 attending each seminar. Police, judicial, government officials, hospital representatives and interested adoptive families assimilated vision and valuable information about adoption empowering the local community to provide family resources for orphaned children.
