Mission: Our mission: nccs (dba truenorth community services) serves as the communities' crossroads where caring people come together to restore, reshape, and enrich lives. Truenorth community services will continually improve a fluid and flexible array of services to ensure our communities are prosperous destinations for all their members. Our vision: nccs (dba truenorth community services) believes everyone should have a voice, nutritious food, a healthy environment, a place to call home, quality education, employment that supports a living wage, services to build resilient youth, engaged citizens and the opportunity to experience the cultural arts. Truenorth's four core competencies include ensuring our youth thrive, addressing rural poverty, building vibrant communities, and providing innovative rural nonprofit leadership.
Programs: Truenorth's housing and family services department provides housing, homeless prevention, family support services, children's services, health and nutrition programs and family support services. A continuum of care plan is established for each family which focuses on establishing attainable goals and providing case management to assure our families are moving toward self-sufficiency and a stable family environment.
