As a previous fellow at FFAC, I was extremely grateful to learn as much as I did about the harms of industrial agriculture and factory farming. FFACs approach is not only intersectional, but allows participants to critically think about environmentalism and sustainability through a variety of lens. Every member of the organization is extremely passionate about the work they do and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with FFAC and continue to promote valuable messages about the many ways we can be kinder to animals, the earth, and ourselves.
I strongly enjoyed my experiences throughout the High School and College Student Advocacy programs. Not only did I learn so much about the complexities of factory farming and activism, but I also had the opportunity to join a welcoming and positive community!
FFAC drastically helped my approach to animal advocacy. I was given the opportunity to work with a multitude of organizations and connect with peers desiring the same improvements for several weeks, building lifelong relationships. Because of FFAC, I am inspired to continue to advocate for institutional improvements within my community and eventually throughout the world.
I've been an intern at FFAC for a while now and I've only become more appreciative over time of all the work they do to educate the public about the harms of animal agriculture and their work to bring about a more equitable and sustainable future for our food system.
I have worked with many nonprofits over the past 10 years as a volunteer. FFAC is one of the best organizations I’ve ever worked with. They provide excellent training and mentorship. Their work ethic is impeccable. Their leadership is inspiring. They truly walk the walk. The work they are doing touches so many areas. Animal life , human life , the environment and much more ! Their dedication to to protecting our planet is extraordinary. Not only do I appreciate their dedication to animal life , but their commitment to human beings being exploited in labor practices. I have shared so much of my experience with FFAC with many others as I truly respect and admire their amazing work!
In only a couple of months, I made connections and friendships that will last a lifetime. I not only learned a lot about the Factory Farming industry, but also saw many different perspectives that I wouldn't have thought about previously.
As a past advisor with FFAC, I cannot root for this nonprofit enough. It was a welcoming and supportive community of advocators and mentors that taught one another. I learned more from their summer program than I have from some full-blown environmental classes. I highly recommend this program for anyone and everyone because I believe everyone can learn a little something from FFAC.
