Mission: The NJ Vietnam Veterans'' Memorial Foundation, founded in 1987, built and now operates the NJ Vietnam Veterans'' Memorial and the Vietnam Era Museum & Educational Center in Holmdel, NJ. The NJ Memorial pays tribute to the 1561 men and 1 woman from NJ who lost their lives in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War while the Educational Center offers visitors an insightful and engaging experience of the Vietnam Era through a collection of photographs, historic timelines, films, interactive displays and personal letters and photographs. Exhibits in the Center reflect the political, military, social and cultural perspectives of the Era.
Programs: Guided tours, led by Vietnam Veterans, provide school students with an interactive learning experience about what it was like to go to war.
