Mission: Njta exists to promote and develop professional nonprofit theatre in nj by fostering a collaborative environment, advocating for theatre in our communities and increasing public access and exposure to theatre.
Programs: Stages festival - an annual event held throughout the month of march that offers free or significant discounts on tickets to more than 100 performances, workshops, and classes at member theaters, libraries, senior centers, and other venues across the state. The program reaches an average of 12,000 people a year.
access - access offers mini grant initiatives, americans with disabilities act (ada)planning workshops, technical assistance, and marketing support to assist member theaters and the states cultural community to develop programs and services for seniors and people with disabilities. This work has been recognized by local, state and national organizations including the national endowment for the arts as a role model initiative.
njartstix. Org - an online ticketing program to performances at our member theaters and presenting organizations throughout the state. Njartstix. Org offers a minimum of 25% discount off every ticket.
