I am working in their Newark facility and there is nobody doing for people coming out of incarceration what the New Jersey Reentry Corporation is doing. These men and women are coming out of jails and prisons traumatized and usually without even the personal identification they need to request services. NJRC takes them step by step through the process of creating a resume, getting an email address and has their own connections with companies and industries ready to hire the formally incarcerated and even court-involved clients who have not done time. In the meantime, they address the issues that may be even more pressing for them, getting food assistance, finding housing and getting housing assistance or, even before that, getting the personal identification they need to claim these services which they should have left incarceration already in possession of.

Programs: One-stop offender re-entry services is a program designed to help communities develop and implement comprehensive and collaborative strategies that address the challenges posed by offender reentry and recidivism reduction.
