I adopted 2 GSP/mix sibling puppies from New Beginnings rescue in July 2017 after losing our gsp in May. I heard about New Beginnings while searching the internet for GSP rescues. When I came across them, I was thrilled to learn they are a holistic rescue that looks after the whole dog from general health to proper nutrition to alternatives to toxic chemical flea tick prevention. So many other rescues and shelters pump their dogs with vaccines not knowing any vaccination history to determine if the vaccines are really necessary.
The whole experience from application to pickup was smooth, very informative and positive. I had no trouble paying the $10 application fee (many rescues charge more than that!).
Over the course of the review process I had several conversations with their representative initiated by both myself and them. It was evident they make every effort to find a perfect match, not only for them but for the family as well. They conducted reference checks and verified vet information as requested on their application.
We were busy with summer starting and I couldn't pick up the dogs for at least a month. They were willing to work with us and even sent us video and pictures of our babies during the wait time. The foster mom requested we send her some articles of old clothing with our scent on them to get the dogs used to our smells. What a brilliant idea!! At the handoff, the foster mom gave us our 'care' package for the dogs with everything we needed to get through the next couple days. The whole transfer and travel home went without a hitch. The pups were behaved and clearly showed they'd been loved and well cared for. Their adjustment to our home went very well and they have settled in beautifully... both loving and loyal dogs!!
I can't say enough about New Beginnings and how grateful I am for the work they put into their dogs to ensure they're healthy and happy.
I disagree with the gentleman who left a review earlier. They are NOT a scam and yes, they ARE picky about who they adopt their dogs to and won't adopt to just anybody. The dogs are expected to be members of the family and not kept housed outside.
I would highly recommend this rescue for people willing to take a more holistic approach to dog care. The representative was helpful, knowledgeable, informative..teaching me a few things I didn't know before. A+++!

We adopted a GSP from New Beginnings GSP Rescue almost 7 years ago. We learned about the organization from friend. We believe that they do a great job making sure that the family and their potential dog is a good match. The family that fostered our dog was amazing. When we are ready to adopt another dog we will definitely contact New Beginnings GSP rescue again. The individuals at this organization really care a lot for the dogs and do their best to provided any needed medical care and homes for these dogs.

This organization is untrustworthy and wasted our time. They required an application and payment of a $10 application fee before we heard from someone a week later - and then they denied our application.

We live in a beautiful executive home on nearly 5 acres of well maintained property and applied to adopt a German Shorthaired Pointer from them in December, 2015. More than a week passed before someone called me despite repeated emails AFTER paying the required $10 fee.

I finally spent 45 minutes on the phone with a representative of New Beginnings who reviewed our application. Two weeks later I was notified that we were disapproved because the dog would be sleeping in our heated, insulated, fully finished, and spotlessly clean garage. I am an accomplished business executive and we have the ability to provide superior care for adopted animals. We currently provide a home for several goats, and two horses, to include a previously abused horse that has been with us for over four years now.

New Beginnings has 15 dogs listed as available for adoption. The list has not changed in a month, indicating that none of the "available" dogs have been placed. They supposedly have a "board" that reviews applications. I suspect this organization may not be legitimate and could be a scam. They made no effort to conduct a home inspection, were extremely difficult to work with and highly unresponsive on the front end. POTENTIAL ADOPTERS BEWARE!
