Mission: New beginnings for women & children mission is to help homeless women and children by providing housing, supportive services and opportunities for growth that will create stable, financially self-sufficient families.
Programs: In fiscal year 2011-2012, new beginnings for women & children provided shelter, housing and supportive services to 225 families, the vast majority were single mothers with children. Total number of unduplicated individuals served during the year was 641 (adults and children). New beginnings provides a safe, affordable solution for working families who have slipped into homelessness. Through a wide range of support services, including emergency shelter, temporary subsidized housing, supportive case management, education and training, and direct client assistance, new beginnings creates an environment where change is possible and single working mothers can achieve financial goals and become financially self-sufficient. New beginnings operates on income received from the public, government contracts, fundraising events and rental fees collected.
