I entered 29 competitions in 2010, including the competition at the National Academy. Of all my experiences, I found the staff to be more helpful, more knowledgeable and more dedicated to the music than nearly all the other competitions with which I had an experience. It is also worthwhile to advise those interested to read what this organization has established as their mission. Many entities which encourage the creation of quality music do not have the studied focus and sense of purpose that his organization has set for itself.
