In my three years of working for the fund, I have been amazed at the number of people we have managed to help. The board of directors is so involved and is a great asset to the fund. Before working for the fund I volunteered for several years. I have the greatest desire to continue this great work and see the fund grow to help many more burn survivors and their families.

The Moonlight Fund is a good old fashioned charity, giving the way it should be. With the majority of funds passed through. No fancy office or high overhead...since 1998!

The Moonlight Fund helps burn and blast survivors in many ways. From housing , monies for medical supplies to lending an ear to those in time of need. The fund also connects survivors so they can network and give each other support.

I am a burn survivor and for the first time, met other adult burn survivors who live near me at a recent retreat. This organization brings much needed support to the burn community.

The Moonlight Fund has assisted our family in so many ways. I have been to several women's days, and my family has attended several retreats. The retreats always introduce something new to us. The Moonlight Fund is also furnishing our new wheelchair accessible home!

The Moonlight Fund Inc. is one of the only organizations of its kind.I have been blessed to meet the people that work to help these burn and blast survivors as well as some of the survivors as well. Burn injuries last a lifetime and survivors need support, love and financial assistance. They pride themselves in keeping all overhead costs low, because they focus on donations going to those who really need them. I am proud to be a part of this organization and I look forward to seeing them grow and witnessing more success stories of those they help.

The moonlight fund assists with returning to a new normal life after a catastrophic injury. Burn and blast survivors, heavily prior military, seem to be the moonlight funds key target population, but it is in no way only limited to former military participants. They rncouage family and community through sponsoring events, retreats, and other activities such as the Mother's Day giveaway event at the fort Sam warrior and family support center. The healing process for me has been helped through the retreats, as well as gotten us together with other families in similar situations that could benefit from the knowledge base that my wife and I have built going through the process of blast and amputation recovery. It's always great weekend when we can get away and relax on a moonlight fund retreat weekend. Seeing the wonderful things that the moonlight fund can accomplish has made my family supporters for life.

It is special to see those we attend grow over the years. They have become family to us and we will continue to strive to enhance their lives.

I have know Celia for years. She is a true friend and her dedication to the Moonlight Fund is amazing. She has helped to build this foundation from the ground up and works diligently and tirelessly to help others. I help her all that I can in every way. When I meet all of the soldiers and burned victims that she has helped, it makes me want to help even more. I just can't say enough about what a difference the Moonlight Fund has made in many lives.
Thank you, Catrina Kendrick

I met with Celia to discuss a service learning project as a requirement for a graduate class. She was hospitable, accommodating, and informative. After she explained the Moonlight Fund’s purpose I was excited and enlightened . During the month of October, 2013, I had the opportunity to volunteer at a car show with the Moonlight Fund. I felt it was a great experience. I had a chance to meet other volunteers. Everyone was courteous, professional, and welcoming. I believe in the Moonlight Fund’s mission and the work they do so much that I will continue to volunteer.

I first became aware of the need through the founder Celia. Her work on behalf of the bun survivors is tireless and selfless. She is just happy to be able to help others. It is a refreshing and admirable attitude. I know when I donate and help this organization that I am making a difference in those that need my help. It is rewarding and beneficial for all of us.

This organization helps so many families, and they work so hard to help people. They deserve to be recognized for all the support they give to families in need. I have went to a couple of retreats, and have met life long friends. I can truly say that the staff has always been there for me when I needed them. The moonlight fund also has given thousands of dollars away in home goods to wounded warriors, and their families. They always strive to get better, and take criticism well. Their main focus is helping people in need; NOT to get Rich!
