I applied to adopt a female Maltese mix that Monica had rescued. Monica was very thorough in explaining her background and personality. She allowed me to take the dog home for a trial which went very well. I was fully prepared to adopt her but was unable to do so due to some health issues that I subsequently had to face. It was devastating to let go of the puppy but Monica was very kind and assured me that then puppy would be placed in capable hands. I am happy to report that the puppy found an excellent parent and I follow her on Instagram. Mo4paws does its research well and strives to match pets with the most suitable parents. I really like the fact that you are allowed to bring pets home and ensure that the match is perfect (unlike picking them up from a parking lot). This way, when the pet gets adopted there are no surprises. I would trust Monica and Mo4paws completely. Shobana
Had a really great experience with this nonprofit. They let you take the pet home for a week to see if the pet likes the conditions as well as to see if you can handle taking care of a pet. This was a great way to get to know if adopting that pet is right for you. Luckily, I got along great with my dog. In addition, they did their best to find a pet to meet my criteria and they exceeded my expectations. My dog is just amazing!
I knew I wanted to rescue a dog but the process of going to different shelters is exhausting and you don’t get the time needed to spend with the dog. Different rescues would never call me back, or tell me I could come and see the dog but when I would arrive the dog would be gone because it was adopted out. The process was beyond defeating for me and my family. But that all changed When I met Monica from Mo4Paws. She listened to my concerns and really understood what type of dog I was looking for. She let me keep our dog for over a week before we committed to keeping her. To make sure she was a good fit. She checked in on us daily and continued to stay in touch. She really feels more like a friend than someone helping you find your forever furry friend! This woman truly loves what she does and cares for these animals and the families more than anyone I’ve ever met. We are thrilled to have found Monica and our perfect pup Lola. This rescue is more than a rescue. It’s a family.
I wish we could award more than 5 stars for Mo4Paws. They are an amazing pet rescue organization dedicated to finding forever homes for pets in need. We adopted a great dog named Max who has become a wonderful addition to our family.
We were so impressed with their personal touch when it came to communications and handling of the adoption. From the moment we connected, they was available by phone, email and text which is very different from how other rescues operate. They went out of their way to arrange the first meet and greet for us. We received a full health report and was given an opportunity to have Max on a trial basis before making our final decision. It was a very warm and personal arrangement which is how it should be when one is adopting a new family member. He was neutered, chipped and came with a clean bill of health from the vet. He also brought his own bed, toys and a leash which was comforting for his transition to our home.
Mo4Paws travels far and wide and brings pets to the Bay Area where they have a better chance of adoption. We would have never found Max if it wasn't for their hard work and dedication.
I adopted my dog Persy, from MO4PAWS in early March and it has been the best decision I have ever made. Persy has been the perfect companion for quarantine and beyond. The way that MO4PAWS continues to check-in post-adoption really shows that they care about making sure that these dogs have the best lives.
I have had dogs all my life but for the last ten years due to circumstances I have been without a dog..I have horses and I am a trainer ...my circumstances changed and I was ready to adopt a dog , I have a friend who recommended Monica MO4PAWS and I let her know what I was looking for . I wanted a blue heeler female between one and three years old...about two or three months later I got a text with pictures of my now dog "Mike" she is a beautiful blue heeler about a year and a half...Monica found her at a kill shelter up in Northern California ....
I said YES!!! the next thing I knew Monica drove Mike all the way down to Ventura where I live to bring her to me ! I am forever grateful to her for finding me such a beautiful family member
I don’t think I have ever met anybody as nice as Monica at MO4PAWS.
She was truly such an angel helping me with the process of adopting our sweet dog Brady. It was one of those days where we dropped in to the rescue where they were showing him that day, to just take a look, but had no intention of falling in love. The timing could not have been more off for us, but at the same time I knew this dog was mine! She completely understood, and saw what I felt. I have had other experiences with other rescues, and she will always by far be my favorite, as she does this from her heart, and not only cares about the animals being placed, but about the people too. From getting Brady to my house, helping me with his getting neutered, and just helping me through the whole process, she went above and beyond on all levels, and was beyond accommodating.
I adopted my dog, Daisy, through MO4PAWS. The whole process was amazing. MO4PAWS made sure I was aware of Daisy’s health situation from the beginning and allowed me to go through a month-long trial to be very sure we were a good fit.
Because of MO4PAWS, Daisy was rescued from a high-kill shelter and I have the perfect dog!
When I’m ready for a second dog, I’ll definitely adopt through MO4PAWS again.
About a year after I lost my dog, Teddy, I contacted MO4PAWS and told Monica Wiesener what type of rescue pup I was looking for. I needed a hypoallergenic dog and Monica said she was sure she could find me a little dog that I would like. It took a few months but she did just that. George was found in a field in Tracy, California. He had no chip etc and she had him checked out and spayed. He stayed with her for a couple of days and then introduced me to this very sweet loving dog. He is thought to be a maltipoo and we have helped each other get through this pandemic together. She made this process a kind, friendly experience.
Monica Wiesener, the President and Founder of MO4PAWS, a nonprofit animal rescue and adoption organization, is amazing!!! After reading our application, she searched for the perfect dog for our family. We wanted a hypoallergenic dog that is family-friendly and house trained. We still need to work with him on basic commands. Monica had some great recommendations for trainers, vets, etc.
We meet Bandit at a pet adoption day at Pet Food Express in Palo Alto and Monica had us take him for the weekend to see if he would be a good fit for our family. Of course, we fell in love with him right away and asked to officially adopt him. She came this week to pick him up to get neutered and microchipped and kept him overnight since we came home late.
Monica is so helpful and such an animal lover!!! Bandit is in love with her and happily went off with her when he hasn't been with her that long. She only had him the night before we meet him and then again when she took him for the procedures.
So happy that we found our fur baby with Mo4Paws!
My family and I can’t say enough good things about Monica and Mo4Paws! She connected us with our dream kitty, after rescuing her from a bad situation. She set us up for success without putting a lot of pressure on us, making sure we knew that it was her highest priority to find animals *the right* home. She has always been super supportive and even though we haven’t had any issues with our cat, I know she is available if we need any help. MO4PAWS is a great organization.
I brought Scruffy home when he was 4 months old. My husband was very allergic to dogs, so I was very hesitant to have a dog but I wanted one for my son who was suffering from depression. I had long discussions with Monica at MO4Paws about it. Monica was very considerate about my needs. When she found scruffy, she let me keep him for as long as we wanted until we were certain that the fit was right. We all fell in love with little Scruffy and miraculously my husband had no issues with him around. Now we cannot imagine a life without Scruffy. Thanks Monica!
Monica and Mo4paws.org saved our kitty's life. He was slated to be killed by a shelter because he had a cold. An upper respiratory condition was his only crime. Monica intervened and nursed him back to health over several weeks. She gave him medication and a large dose of love until he was well enough to be adopted -- by us!
We cannot thank Monica enough. She has such a kind heart and such patience. Her love for all creatures is such a welcome thing in the stressful circumstances we all find ourselves in now.
And our little kitty? At one year, he is a bruising 15 pounds and he has grown into a gorgeous guy. And, ohyes, he has us wrapped around his little cat paw.
Five stars for mo4paws.org and Monica! And a big thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Monica & her husband Stan helped us to adopt our beloved cat, Ginger. They are unbelievably devoted to helping animals in need. They made our experience incredibly easy and went above and beyond in every sense to ensure there was a good fit and to ease the transition into pet ownership. We are forever grateful to them and their wonderful service.
MO4PAWS is an awe-inspiring organization and I am so grateful to be a part of the team! Before my involvement in MO4PAWS, I really didn't have a complete grasp that thousands of dogs and cats are euthanized in shelters on a daily basis. Monica is so knowledgeable about the high-kill animal shelter system and does a great job of educating others. She has built an incredible team of passionate individuals who are animal lovers and truly want to make a difference through educating and advocating.
Mo4PAWS is a truly worthy organization devoted to saving dogs and cats from the pound. We really enjoyed our time seeing all of these precious creatures at the opening event. The dogs were so playful and the cats were so adorable. Monica, the founder, truly has a heart of gold.
Mo4Paws is a dedicated nonprofit that works diligently to saves lives and help animals that are in need. I am the Head of Advocacy and know discussing the problems are important.
Go 4 MO4PAWS!
Mo4Paws is an incredible organization that truly ticks because of it's amazing founder, Monica Wiesener. I've known Monica for over 20 years and her passion for animal rescue has been part of her life since we were kids. She has a heart of gold and will do everything it takes to save at risk animals while raising awareness through her rescue and adoption events.
I'd like to mention that Mo4Paws is going beyond saving at risk animals and working to find ways to help reform the entire shelter system.
Support Mo4Paws and help our best furry friends!!
I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of this organization. Our team firmly believes in the welfare of animals and animal rights. Our Founder, Monica Wiesener, is a true leader that has changed the way people view shelter reform and advocacy. If you are curious about animal rescue and fostering, please reach out! We appreciate all of you who care about animals the way that we do. Help be the voice for those who cannot speak.
It has been a true blessing working along so many innovative and compassionate individuals. This is an incredible organization committed to bringing cutting edge solutions and 21st century values in order to Speak for and Care for those without a Voice.
MO4PAWS is not just your average animal rescue group. On top of saving at-risk animals and coordinating incredibly well-run rescue and adoption events, MO4PAWS is constantly working on finding new ways to positively impact and reform the shelter system.
Our founder, Monica, has a heart of gold as well as the mind and drive to improve the process by which homeless animals can find homes. She has put together a stellar team of animals lovers who will stop at nothing to save any animal in need. From the nitty gritty of facing the run down shelters to rescuing animals off the street to working together with other rescue groups to find the right fit for each animal, MO4PAWS is the group to turn to for all volunteers and prospective pet owners.
The future is bright for this nonprofit and the furry friends linked to it!
I have been extremely impressed with the impact MO4PAWS has been able to make on the community. They are doing a fantastic job getting their message out about saving the lives of companion animals, and finding them forever homes. All the members of the organization, specifically the president and founder, Monica Wiesener, are fully dedicated to their mission, and work to be the voices for animals who can not speak for themselves. I have personally had the opportunity to attend adoption events hosted by the organization, and have organized a lecture with the Junior League of San Francisco for Monica to spread awareness about their cause. This organization strives to better the world around us, and though active social media, local events, and strong lobbying efforts, they have done a wonderful job getting their message out there.
Mo4Paws is truly a "from the heart" nonprofit. Its founder, Monica, has had a passion for helping animals in need since she was a child. Everyone who is involved with this organization has a heart of gold - is always ready to assist in any way possible - and truly makes working with them, in any capacity (assisting as a volunteer at the events, fostering an animal, or adopting one of their rescued pups) a true joy and seamless process. Truly suggest donating and getting involved with this organization if you are an animal lover. I have worked with them when I found a dog on the street and my conscious would not let me leave her at a kill shelter - Monica and her team assisted in getting the shot cared for until we found her a suitable home since her owners could not be found and she was not chipped... I have and also have attended their events - first class organization.
I was able to volunteer with this amazing organization at an event they had in Calabasas. I love animals and love to help them in any way possible. With this organization I was able to do just that by interacting with the animals there and going out to advoacte on their behalf. They told us the story of this dog they had rescued days before he was scheduled to be put down, luckily with their help they were able to find a great home for him. They really are a wonderful organization that works tirelessly to help rescue animals in need and are strong advocates for the rights of animals everywhere.
