the tobacco free mississippi: engaging mississippi pediatricians program, funded by the ms state department of health's office of tobacco control promoted tobacco cessation services and tools to pediatricians for use with their patients and families. The organization also provided educational lectures, materials for clinic use, technical assistance, links to cessation resources and opportunities to enhance services provided to patients. The number of pediatricians involved totaled approximately 330+ (full membership).
continuing medical education meetings: approximately 150 physicians and other medical providers attended the organization's medical education meeting to sharpen their clinical skills. This meeting drew participants from several locations through both on-site and distance learning via video cast.
