Mission: Mind meets music is a unique and revolutionary program using music to enhance brain development and grow reading and higher order thinking skills in kindergarten, first, and second grade students in urban schools.
Programs: The program consists of two 30 minute sessions per class per week. It serves as an academic enhancement and acts as a conduit connecting the arts with general education, specifically literacy. Mind meets music classes are child-centered, sequential, experiential, and intense. The outcome is a revolutionary arts integration program of the highest quality, designed to increase the likelihood of academic success for high-needs, at-risk preschool through second grade students. In 2016-2017, mind meets music serviced over 5,000 studients.
