As a music educator for the past 4 decades, I can attest to the dedication and commitment of the teachers and staff of the Miami Music Project. Their mission to bring music to socioeconomically disadvantaged youth is amazing and embraced by each child and family whose lives they touch and change. They bring a focus of caring and create a sense of family and community through music education. Parents and siblings are similarly affected by Miami Music Project's positive outcomes. The students' personal attitudes change and, in turn they realize they can affect the lives of those with whom they interact. It is a truly remarkable system and one which should be wholeheartedly supported.
