Mission: Metropolitan contractor improvement partnership (mcip) is a business support and training organization for viable minority and disadvantaged businesses (mbe/dbe). Mcip coaches firms to increase their profitability and net worth by improving their business management systems. Our program values are equity, reduction of barriers, education, increased capacity and return on investment for our clients and partners.
Programs: Mcip created a project forecasting model using a new it platform. The model, currently in beta testing mode, to be followed by a piloting phase, will identify upcoming contracting opportunities and divisions of work where dbe/mbe contractors can increase capacity based on market opportunities. Mcip expanded its offices to provide incubator spaces for 4 contractors. Mcip staff and board is developing a mentoring program called how to become a million dollar contractor. The proposed program will select 10-12 contractors to participate with expected improvement of a minimum of 5-6 contractors from each cohort.
