Metamorphasis powerhouse company is an amazing organization in the STEM space for children. The program offerings allow children to thrive and empower them in spite of their circumstances. This organization really does the work to ensure that programmatically children and adults are able to grow positively in the world they live.
Great job on all the programs!
I have always believed that education opens the doors to many opportunities. Metamorphasis Powerhouse has been on the right track from its inception. As I followed their growth with programs from kids, adults and seniors there was no hesitation in contributing to Metamorphasis. When I was given the opportunity to become a member of their advisory board I was honored. Metamorphasis’s future is bright as it continues to serve the community with needed programs.
I am so proud to serve alongside the amazing leaders, volunteers, interns, and partners at Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company, Inc. This year has been both challenging and rewarding as we pivoted to reimagine our pathway forward during the pandemic. Our team both on the Executive Board and Advisory Board went over and beyond to ensure we banded together to increase infrastructure, identify new partners to eliminate silos wherever possible, and stay true to our mission to turn everyday places into public learning classrooms even when that meant kitchens, living rooms, and pod learning with students online.
I am extremely grateful to everyone who has supported Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company since our inception, and especially this year as we tackle closing the digital divide, supporting healthy family foundations, increase teacher confidence through remote learning, resource masks to essential workers and seniors 55+ and move the needle forward in ensuring EVERYONE has access to quality education and health no matter where they live.
In service and safety,
Josette Hutton Evans
Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company, Inc.
When I created Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company as a student in college, my vision was to help transform people's lives by partnering with them to give voice to their needs, and convene resources that would help dismantle the obstacles standing in their pathway of success through education, advocacy, and collaboration.
In my heart I believed (and still do) that the beauty of a human being is in our ability to evolve, adapt, change, and become a better version of ourselves despite setbacks and challenges.
I believed (and still do) that with the right set of resources, and access to information, a human being is capable of doing anything we put our hearts and minds to.
Because of that belief in the tenacity and resolve of the human spirit- I created an nonprofit that at its core was set out to help close the gaps of access so that human beings- regardless of where they were born, what they looked like, or how much money they had- could have access to a quality education.
At Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company, beyond all else, we believe education is a human right that should be accessible to everyone, regardless of where you live.
More than 17 years later, I'm in awe of all the ways we have been able to gift the families and communities we serve with opportunities to rise to the occasion to be their best for their children.
I am so touched by the many volunteers, community partners, board members, business stakeholders who join me in the belief that we must continue to find solutions to tough challenges, and provide platforms for all people, regardless of where they live, or what they look like- to have access to a quality education.
Without you, Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company would have just been a dream on a piece of scrap paper I wrote on an airplane on my way back from a trip to Ghana, West Africa.
Thank you for helping me put action everyday to my dream that one day every child will be able to learn without limitation.
Your ongoing support reinforces my belief that at the core of all of us is the collective goal of evolving into our best selves, being brave enough to rise up to face our challenges and ask "What is one more thing I can do for our children?"
Your heart-felt reviews here on Great Nonprofits sharing about the quality of our programs and your experiences with our organization provides me with a glimpse of how far we've come in these 17 years. Your feedback also re-energizes me and the leadership team, and reminds us how we must continue the journey forward until all children thrive in healthy, safe spaces where they can excel and learn.
Thank you for inviting us into your local libraries, daycare centers, churches and synagogues, retail spaces, movie theaters, schools, local chambers of commerce, financial institutions and community recreation centers as we steadily gain momentum in our mission to turn everyday places into public learning classrooms to support rigorous learning opportunities- especially for historically underserved citizens.
Our Just Say YES to Youth Initiative programs intentionally create opportunities to make learning fun and accessible for students and their families- through both in-school and out-of-classroom activities in everyday familiar areas where they live, work and play.
Whether your support has helped us scale our grade-level reading and PreK language nutrition program, Community Learning Labs and field trips exposing more students to STEM, Parent University workshops that support healthy family foundations, and our Youth Entrepreneurship program that teaches students to be the leaders of themselves and master of their choices- You have helped us provide a YES to students and communities in need.
Thank you from my heart to yours- for your donations, attendance at our events, sharing our work with your circles of influence- and most importantly your willingness to give a "YES" to our students and their families through your sweat equity by serving as educators, mentors, event planners, storytime volunteers, camp counselors, STEM advocates, workshop facilitators, tutors, community partners, consultants, ambassadors and friends.
As we transition into a new year full of exciting new opportunities, we also face new unique challenges of growth and development that will require your ongoing support.
Please consider joining our Advisory Board, Executive Team, or becoming a Strategic Partner to help shape the decisions that will ensure we are able to continue evolving for what future generations of children will need in order to thrive.
Continue to help us raise awareness around the importance of education and quality of life for all.
My prayer is, with your help, that whenever our children look for a pathway for a better future for themselves, they are met with a confident "YES, you can count on us."
By creating pathways for 'Today's Youth to be Empowered to Succeed In Tomorrow's World' we give promise and hope to future generations to evolve, strive and thrive.
Thank you for doing your part. We promise to continue to do ours, and forever ask "What's one more thing we can do" to improve our programs, processes and partnerships so we can continue the work of creating a world where every child can succeed.
Yours in service,
Josette Hutton Evans
Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company, Inc.
To see the growth of the CEO and the team that supports her, you start to begin to understand with supporting people and community everything is possible! Major Shout out to Mrs. Josette Evans
My experience with Met Inc has been absolutely amazing. Their yearly “stem fest” as well as the consistent positivity throughout the organization is what keeps my relationship growing. I tell everyone about them and try to encourage my peers to volunteer. Thank you for the opportunity to grow my resume, knowledge and create such memorable relationships!
Metamorphasis Powerhouse is a voice to be reckon, they are doing an outstanding job reaching and advocating for the disenfranchised and underserved.... They have not allowed this sensitive environment with COVID effect their vision or objective.
Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company is the driving force behind helping the community and providing the youth with the resources to be GREAT! I have worked with this organization on many occasions and each time it is filled with thought provoking exercises and fun for everyone involved. I can’t stress the importance of this nonprofit and what they provide for our upcoming young men and women! Big shout out to MET INC !!
As a Health Administration Graduate Student, I am grateful that the Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company has provided me with an opportunity to apply the skills I learned in class while giving back to the community through the role of a Non-Profit Management Intern. The entire board and organization is kind, knowledgable, professional, and the best to work with! I have seen various initiatives centered around youth development that are innovative, unique, and inspiring. I can not wait to see where this organization goes, and I wholeheartedly recommend volunteering or partnering with Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company.
I began working as the Volunteer coordinator towards the beginning of the pandemic. Josette and her team were just wonderful to work with and they really make an impact on the community. I was able to help facilitate the sewing masks for seniors initiative. We were able to provide masks in a time of need for people risk. I can't wait to see what else they have in store!
Metamorphasis is truly an incredible organization.
All throughout my time at Northwestern University, I have served as a tutor, helping students in middle school, high school and college to understand their math and economics coursework. Since I really enjoy tutoring and firmly believe in strong academics as a foundation for lifelong success, I am so happy to have found MetInc. as an organization to volunteer for because they firmly share my vision and seek to help those in our society who need it most. MetInc. offered me an incredible opportunity to remotely help their organization better serve its students and parents.
MetInc. operates entirely off committed, helpful volunteers, donations, and corporate sponsors who share a vision for academic equity and excellence. Most of the volunteers treat MetInc. as their 2nd full-time-job, working year-round to provide counseling, guidance, and academic support to underprivileged youth. These people are doing such an incredible job and there is not a doubt in my mind that they deserve to win this award.
Hello I am Nicole Sweigart , I joined the team this year as their Budget Consultant. I met Josette a couple of years ago, and when she told me what she did for a living, It was interesting to me, how she is providing more than one service. When she contacted me to work with her, I was so excited . During my time with Metamorphasis, I have since met the team and everyone was transparent in their roll with the organization and welcomed me like I have been there for years. Not only does she provide more than one service, this company expands throughout different age groups. Not only working with Metamorphasis has been rewarding, I have watch this team adapt and transform the organization to accommodate the new world we now live in. Sometimes I wonder who needed who, because I have learned so much from being a part of and watching this team shine. It has been an honor working with Metamorphasis. Cannot wait to see what they do next.
All I can say is, when you combine passion for the support of young people and a true desire to educate them, you get Metamorphosis Powerhouse Company. I love working and partnering with them.
I had the pleasure of working with Metamorphasis Powerhouse Inc. as a volunteer. I was honored to be a part of such a great movement. It is obvious that Josette and the rest of the team truly love what they do and have a passion to transform our community by molding the youth. I love everything this organization stands for!
I had the pleasure of working with Josette and her team from Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company through my employer, Barnes & Noble Booksellers. What struck me was how warm and inviting with all of the families the volunteers were, and how Mrs. Evans was very attentive. Each of the volunteer staff were all really committed to making sure the kids enjoyed themselves while learning. I appreciated the inclusion they afforded us with their program to share resources with the families pertaining to our Summer Reading program, Kids Club benefits, and letting the teachers know about the Book Fairs and Fundraisers we offer. I was happy to support their efforts. Great partnership!
"I had the pleasure of bringing my students from my STEM program with Kids on the Move for Success, Inc. to partner with Josette and her team at Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company during their 2018 STEMFEST event at Microsoft. The students enjoyed learning through the coding activities, meeting STEM mentors while my leadership team learned about community resource opportunities available. Her team was welcoming and inclusive, taking the time to get to know about my organization, share us on their website and social media, and meet with us to decide on how we should intentionally partner for kids.
For the past year, our organizations have been intentional in our focus to partner resources cross-functionally and rally around the important cause of exposing STEM education to historically underfunded schools, highlighting the importance of student safety, and closing gaps for at-risk communities and low performing schools throughout the state of GA. I am a proud supporter of her programs, and consider Josette and Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company an important strategic partner for our initiatives at Kids On The Move For Success, Inc.
I would encourage anyone to help this organization in their efforts to transform public spaces into safe outlets for children and their families to learn. I look forward to many new opportunities to advance education and student safety together."
I worked with Josette as a content creator and enjoyed her workmanship and passion to her nonprofit! She chose a great group of people to help her lead!
I absolutely love Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company. They teach kids empowerment, to strive for greatness, and to always believe in themselves. We need more nonprofits like Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company.
I participated in a workshop that Metamorphasis Powerhouse conducted at the South Fulton Public Library which allowed me to work with the youth as well as being educated on the many fun ways to incorporated S.T.E.M base activities in the classroom. This organization got my attention because they recognized a need and they passionately address it wholeheartedly.
I've had the pleasure of working with MetInc. for over 16 years. The passion to help people transform their lives for the better drives everything MetInc does. I share the belief, that it is possible to lift everyone up by providing information (education), advocacy and mentoring. Every program, event, product, and service are tailored to deliver a life affirming and positive change in those served. With this in mind, everyone touched by Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company, Inc. are asked to "Just Say Yes", become the "CEO of Me" and pass the gifts forward.
I have been following Met Inc before the ideas and dreams came to fruition. I have watched the organization grown, and now supporting communities throughout Middle Georgia all the way to Metropolitan Atlanta. The leaderships are well grounded with a solid plan to execute. From my observation, they are making real changes in our communities and giving families a more positive outcome.
What I love most about Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company are the programs. Being the CEO of Me is the one that stands out to me the most. My daughter was able to attend a small portion of the program. What she walked away with truly empowered her to value her self esteem and to sharpen her character development skills. While attending the Being the CEO of me program and additional mentoring at home, my daughter was able to start her own lip gloss and jewelry line. Now she is learning daily how to run her own business. I’m grateful for this program from Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company. Now my child can live her dream of being a business owner.
For over 10yrs I’ve followed Met INC, watched the growth in the number of kids and communities helped and exposed to new skills and knowledge, and even been inspired to expose new generations of under served youth Met INC events!!!
Met Inc is my charity of choice when I shop on Amazon because I know they are good stewards of my donation dollars. Whenever I can, I support their youth programs and attend their events in Henry and Clayton Counties. I have yet to attend and not directly see the fruits of my dollars in active use through the supplies with the kids, which is important to me. A lot of groups will ask for donations and you're not quite sure how it is being used. That's not the case here. I'm a proud supporter of what they are doing in the community.
Josette Hutton Evans is a powerful advocate for today’s youth! Her vision for Metamorphasis, Inc, to open a world of possibilities for children outside of the classroom is amazing! Through, what I like to call, Met Events, children are seeing their peers through different lenses! Seeing the success of others, hearing their stories and networking will allow them to morph into the best version of themselves & Metamorphasis Inc will have a tremendous impact on that process!
Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company has played an integral part in the lives of Metro Atlanta residents for years. Their dedication to helping the youth excel while reaching their full potential has been a delight to witness.
Such a great opportunity for kids to see other kids pursuing their dreams with the kid author series at Barnes and Noble. It’s great to see how leaders can bring together the community for an amazing cause. Building forever traders!
I’m always looking for unique ways to give my daughter a great view of the world, attending MET inc events helps me to do that! With their eclectic workshop offerings and community style story time events, she’s really starting to understand the importance of community.
I have been involved with Metamorphasis Power Company as an administrative assistant for the past year. I am amazed at the professionalism and dedication of the leadership to serve the communities with the educational opportunities they provide!
Thank you so much for all the ways you help us be our best, Jennifer! We could not have done half of what we set out to do this year without you. Thank you for keeping us organized, connected and efficient in the ways we do business. Your generosity with your time and skills has allowed for more opportunities for our leadership team to focus on strategic planning, engaging with our partners, and getting direct feedback from our participants. At the heart of what we accomplished this year- you were right there ready to lend a hand, send an email, create a spreadsheet, make a phone call- you name it, you did it. ((HUGS)) from all of us on the team. YOU ROCK!
When I met the CEO/Founder of MET Inc., Josette Hutton Evans I was thrilled to partner with someone who was passionate about serving youth. The only thing that concerned me with these big ideas was the cost, so I had to be honest and say upfront, we do not have a budget for this or that. To my surprise there was no cost to my place of employment, the families served, or to me. It's been a blessing working with MET Inc. for the past 4 years! MET Inc. provided underserved students with a week-long FREE STEAM Camp during the summer! This camp is usually $700.00 per student. The camp exposed students to robotics, critical thinking, creative writing, the library, and more. Parents and students were very pleased with the camp. There was a program called Storytime and POP where MET Inc. brought in a children’s book author, Nation Chapman, who read his book Popcorn vs. Nacho on bullying to youth. Participants took the anti-bullying pledge and created their own storybook. I’ve also attended a Show and Tell where I could network with potential partners who have been vetted by MET Inc. I have worked with MET Inc.’s CEO/Founder, board members, and partners, and I can assure you that MET Inc. is the real deal. The organization also asked for my feedback when working with potential partners since I was a client. They are professional. They are dependable. They are passionate about meeting the needs of the community by serving youth. They deliver! I highly recommend this organization. I am a professional with expertise in the field and a client.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support and partnership throughout the years! We appreciate you serving as a host location for our Community learning labs and camps, and for joining us in the important work of closing the gaps of access to rigorous educational opportunities for historically under-served students and communities!
My daughter and I attended the Story time event they had in Morrow this year. We had a great time, and I was really impressed with the child authors they had. My daughter has always been a good writer, but seeing the kids on the panel inspired her to want to write her own story. She enjoyed the concession stand for the snacks- she got a kick out of being able to buy what she wanted with their play money. The info session for the parents was really helpful learning ways to help our kids read for pleasure and finding books they are interested in. we will definitely attend more of their programs.
WOW Mallory- thank you so much for this heartfelt testimonial from your family experience. We absolutely love our students, and really enjoy serving the parents we get to work with at our workshops and camps. Thank you for taking the time to attend Storytime-N-Pop in Clayton County- your feedback is crucial to the work we do and how we prioritize our programs, partnerships and processes. We look forward to more ways we can partner with you to help your daughter grow, learn and excel into her best self.
I have been working with Met Inc for a little under a year and the mission of the organization is awesome. I have worked with this org on a few programs and the turnout has been tremendous. Having the relationship with both the community and it citizens and being the connection is quite marvelous. Turning public places into learning spaces is a great way to make access to resources and curriculum attainable to those who otherwise would miss out. I am also a fan of the continuous improvement model that this organization has adopted, which helps to keep it competitive and on target for growth with both their volunteers as well as their members. Met Inc is AWESOME!
Thank you so much Jenae for your hard work this year, and for your service to the community! Because of your leadership and great ideas, we have become more efficient in our meetings, turned an important corner in the ways we recruit new members, modernized the way we plan and engage with our volunteers, and communicate much more effectively across the team using technology. As an organization, we are so proud to have leaders that not only help us govern, but also lead from the trenches. Thank you for your leadership during our Storytime-N-Pop program this year serving on the Programs and Events Committee! Because of you and your committee members, the program had fresh and innovative ways to teach financial literacy through the concession stand, as well as real-world application for parents to work with students using the Fry's Sight Word lists. Thank you for helping take us from Good to GREAT this year. You're a testament to why we confidently say #OurBoardRocks!
I met Ms. Josette Evans through a mutual friend and have been impressed from day one with her commitment to serving her community and encouraging and strengthening families to prepare their children to reach their full potential. Her creative and innovative spirit shines through in her Metamorphosis Power House events which turn public spaces into rich learning environments. She brings the learning to people in ways that are engaging, fun and so beneficial. I truly commend Josette for her dedication and commitment to excellence in supporting children and families and hope that her hard work will be recognized by becoming a recipient of this esteemed award. Dr. Marta D. Collier, CEO of Marta Collier Educational Systems and Services, LLC
With partners like you, Dr. Marta- we are best positioned to do our very best for our students, families and communities. Thank you for all the ways you have helped us enrich our curriculum, engage with our parents in impactful ways that not only transcend the few hours we have with them in our camps and workshops-but that provides them with digestible resources and real-world tools to take back with them at home. Your insight and vast years of experience in education has had a tremendous impact on our academic literacy and language nutrition initiatives- as you've inspired us to let the "book be the hook" so that students and their parents experience the world beyond their front steps and get transported anywhere their imagination can take them. Thank you for your assistance with our Parent University program, which has been crucial in our success in getting student's vocabulary and reading comprehension to soar session over session.
Phenomenal work is what this organization excels at. MetIncPowerCo provides a path to learn about the wonderful world of S.T.E.M to anyone who is curious. Workshops are set up geared to the students being taught; regardless of age range. By providing students access to technologies and people who are well versed in a field, the opportunities for their success become limitless. The engagement from the volunteers and the coordinators is immeasurable. You won't find another group of passionate and dedicated individuals.
Currently, I am a S.T.E.M ambassador for the organization and I always have an amazing time volunteering. Having the opportunity to speak to students, children, and parents about what it's like to be an undergrad in S.T.E.M makes me happy. Affording people opportunities like this allows them an insight into the S.T.E.M field from a different view, and allows questions or preconceptions to be resolved. Seeing all the participants smile, laugh, and make faces of curiosity at the organization's events makes me wish that there were organizations around like MetIncPowerCo when I was a child.
Dee- you have been the gift that just keeps on giving for our students and our team! We are so extremely grateful to have you as one of our key STEM Ambassadors! The students absolutely love your storytelling through your videos, one on one mentoring, and candid inspirational conversations on our STEM panel each year! Thank you for your time, your talent, and most of all- your willingness to serve others. In all of the surveys, we repeatedly hear back on how much it means to our families to have access to, and work with our mentors. You have brought biomedical engineering "alive" and to the forefront as a pathway for so many students who would have never known to reach for it as an opportunity. We are so proud of you, your journey, and your commitment! Thank you for blessing us, so we can bless others. You prove why we say #OurVolunteersRock and that #WITHSTEMUCAN change the world.
