Mission: Manchester public television service, inc. (mpts) was organized to develop, promote and facilitate, access and training for any manchester resident to create television programs and have those programs cablecast throughout the city of manchester. Mpts will be the primary outlet and opportunity for manchester citizens to express ideas & opinions, art and information for every walk of life and every viewpoint, through cablecast television media, the internet, radio, print or other technologies. The corporation shall assure noncommercial, non-discriminatory and uncensored use of the facility, channels and opportunities.
Programs: Manchester public television, inc. (mpts), is a not-for-profit community media center providing televised coverage of municipal government and school events to inform and educate the viewers. Mpts is also a public forum for all manchester residents, groups and organizations, providing training and access to television technology so that all may become active participants in local dialogue via televised media. Mpts strives to involve the diverse population of manchester as producers and viewers, and to strengthen its efforts through collaborations with a wide variety of community institutions. Mpts provides three channels that are seen by more than 45,000 households throughout the greater manchester area. Mpts received no grant money.
