I adopted a puppy from them almost 2 years ago. He is the sweetest dog ever. His gotcha day just passed we celebrate it every year. They went in and rescued this abandoned litter of puppies in New Orleans East when no one else would. They are the voice for the many hopeless pets in and around the New Orleans area. They do a great job. I am so thankful they saved my baby boy. He is my heart.
I was a former volunteer with LNB and they are an amazing group of ladies. Everyone that works for them does so because they actually love and care for the dogs in need. No one there gets paid for all of those hours they put in. I wish I could've continued volunteering for them but I had to take on a 2nd job and just didn't have the time anymore. if you are interested in volunteering they are a great group, but don't take my word for it check them out and see for yourself.
P.S. I was also a foster failure. :)
They are no longer 501c3!!!! Nonprofit status revoked! https://coraweb.sos.la.gov/CommercialSearch/CommercialSearchDetails.aspx?CharterID=988862_UAE52
Put 2 applications in, hear back a week after the 2nd, about a month later they contacted me with approval.
Bad attitude when I told them never mind. This was 2 years ago, hopefully they improved.

Hi Steve, I just reviewed my records as I keep a record of all transactions. We had only one contact about 2 years ago from someone named Steve. It was an inquiry on a female boxer that already had an adopter lined up. You emailed us on 7/13 inquiring about her. We notified you on 7/17 via email that we already had an adopter lined up. We never received an application from you thus never accepted/rejected you. Sorry you were unhappy with your experience. In our follow up email I sent you a link to all of our other adoptable dogs in case you were interested in another, but we never heard back from you. I hope you found a lovable pup to adopt. Saving a life is a great thing no matter which rescue or shelter you choose to adopt from. Thanks for saving a life!

This has nothing to do with 501c3 status. Check the IRS webpage we are still in good standing. There was a form that was late to the state of Louisiana for Private Corporations, but It has been submitted already so everything is fine. Stop trolling Brandy Labiche. You should spend your time helping others instead of trying to hurt rescues that are trying to help dogs in need.
