Programs: Ashramsone of the core principles of the louix dor dempriey foundation is the importance of community. The foundation currently oversees two ashrams, residential spiritual communities which are based upon and demonstrate the teachings of louix dor dempriey. Each center has its own unique flavor and personality. They vary in size and location and in the types of service and spiritual training that they offer. Despite these differences, each ashram offers the disciple an unparalleled opportunity for spiritual growth within a safe, nurturing environment of like-minded people. Prema drala ashram, laguna hills, ca: prema drala ashram is the "mother center" (world headquarters and spiritual epicenter) of the louix dor dempriey foundation. While residents and members of our extended community participate in various forms of service, the main focus of seva (service) at prema drala is making louix and his teachings available to the public. This takes place in various ways, which include providing public events, creating products, and archiving and organizing the library of his teachings. Sundara aravinda ashram, melbourne, australia: sundara aravinda ashram has the distinction of being the foundation's first international community. Located in the suburbs of melbourne, australia, sundara aravinda is currently comprised of two communal homes. The ashram is blessed by a large and devoted extended family of those who live elsewhere but who regularly gather for both service and social events. The melbourne center offers many opportunities for people to learn about louix, study his teachings, and to help serve the mission of the foundation. Public events with louix dor demprieyin this fiscal year, our focus for public events continued with darshan events. We also put on one ecstatic singing event, four one-day retreats, and our annual new year's eve retreat. Darshanthis is the opportunity for people to come and receive a personal blessing from louix, while being serenaded by the world devotional music of pranam (our "in-house' band, comprised of several of louix's students) who perform world devotional music "live" at most of these events. This fiscal year we expanded events to take place in park city, utah, as well as southern california. Evening with louixinteractive evening consisting of either a discourse on a specific topic, and/or a q&a session with louix. Ecstatic singing these fun music-filled events have louix joining pranam to create an uplifting and exhilarating experience of ecstatic singing. Retreatsthis year, we held two one-day retreats in southern california, and were excited to host two one-day retreats in park city, utah, as well. We also held our annual new year's eve retreat, which is the foundation's largest public event (a residential retreat held over 6 days). This year it was held in san diego, ca. At these retreats, louix offers a combination of discourses, personal guidance, meditations, q&a sessions, and performances by pranam (the "in-house" band of louix's u. S. Ashram, comprised of his students and disciples, who perform world devotional music} where possible, as well as surprise guest entertainers. We continued our live broadcasts of our one-day retreats in california, and of louix's annual new year's eve dispensation to expand attendance to a global audience. Webcasts with louix held twice a month and recorded "live" at prema drala ashram in laguna hills, ca, these webcasts provide an opportunity for people around the globe to ask louix questions on any topic or personal issue. Selected video segments are posted publicly on youtube, as well as on our website (www. Louix. Org). Other public events the foundation strives to create events that allow as many people as possible to experience the blessing of being in louix's presence. However, we also sponsor various types of other public events where louix is not present. Humanitarian servicethe foundation participated in a variety of local community service programs as a way of giving back to the community and to those in need. Grace in actionone of the many ways the louix dor dempriey foundation expresses its care for, and commitment to, our planet is through its global service program "grace in action", which includes "global clean-up project and "forests of fruit". Garden sevawe invited the public to our ashram gardens for a day of enjoying mother earth, during which we do various activities such as: the pruning and cutting back of trees, planting flowers, fertilizing, weeding, and picking fruit from trees in the gardens of prema drala ashram. In addition to our formal, organized events for the initiatives, many people all over the world have been inspired by these programs, and have begun collecting trash and even planting fruit trees of their own accord. We hear of this through cards, letters, and calls that we receive here at the foundationinternal community programsresidents of all our centers participate in daily group activities that foster spiritual growth and deepen our sense of family and community. It is through our life experiences and circumstances that louix teaches us to master the art of self-inquiry, and to understand and master the laws of cause and effect. Thus, the experiences of our daily lives are a crucial part of our training. In addition to our daily activities, there are weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, and annual programs that serve to uplift, inspire, and move us into deeper union with each other and assist us in attaining greater self-mastery. Other community activitiesthroughout the year, the various foundation communities practice pranayama, a sacred breathing exercise louix teaches for moving into higher states of consciousness. In addition, communities sometimes gather for a movie night, with louix offering powerful insights about the films being screened. Products producedno new products were released this fiscal year. Instead our primary focus has shifted towards widening our global audience by broadcasting our events online. We also continued development of louix. Tv, a membership-based website which will be used for broadcasting all of our events, including giving members free and/or paid access to our vast library of teachings. Foundation purchasesthe financial support of many people, through both tithing and donations, has helped us to purchase some much-needed equipment. This year we purchased new hard drives to back up recordings and teachings, a new computer for archiving purposes, new software for broadcasting our videos online, and other miscellaneous audio and video equipment to make our broadcast and event recordings run more smoothly and efficiently. Pr and marketing throughout the year, the foundation produced flyers to advertise events with louix, as well as purchased online e-blast advertising prior to events. We have also utilized facebook advertising to increase our fans and followers online, as well as to advertise events.
