Causes: Community Recreational Centers, Sports
Mission: Provides quality active and passive recreational, educational and social opportunities to members of the community of all ages.
Programs: Serving about 145,000 participants in 2016, the lawrenceburg community center provides a computer room, conference facilities, an exercise room with various types of exercise machines and equipment, a recreational room and a gymnasium. A variety of physical activity programs include aerobics, yoga, interval training, dance, cheerleading clinics, wrestling clinics, basketball leagues and tai kwon do, a program called toddler time, and an after-school program for children that includes homework assisfance, a snack, and recreational time to allow for social interaction along with a summer youth program. Educational opportunities include beginner and intermediate level computer classes, beginning oil painting classes, beginning and advanced guitar and beginning and advanced photography classes.
