Departments with oversight from school leadership and board of trustees will make changes to the curriculum deemed necessary to continue to offering a leading edge education for the 21st century. - a rich array of summer academic courses and athletic camps as well as the lakeside experiential educational program (leep), which serves incoming 9th graders in the seattle public schools to provide greater access to lakeside's campus and opportunities. - increased diversity of the school's student body and employees. Lakeside now has 31% of students on aid; 52 % students of color; and 23% employees of color. - completion of a facilities master planning effort and the launch of a performing arts initiative, which is focused on both facilities and program enhancements in the areas of music, drama, and choir.
