The Knights of Columbus, founded by Father Michael J. McGivney to provide financial aid to families suffering from the death of the breadwinner, has grown to over 15,000 councils and 1.9 million members. In 2017, the Knights set a record for charity with $185,600,673 in donations and 75.6 million hours of service.
The Knights of Columbus Disaster Relief fund is used to support the work of the local councils through their disaster response efforts, in coordination with emergency agencies and first responders. One hundred percent of the funds raised go directly to relief efforts.
