Kids Read Now does an amazing job at delivering books to kids. Just imagine being a kid and the excitement of knowing one of YOUR books is traveling through the mail, and then it's THERE! In your mailbox! Excitement and engagement help make this program stand out among all others. But if you ever get a chance to interact with the Kids Read Now team, you'll realize that they are all there for the RIGHT reasons, they love this work! There is a reason why volunteers love to go back, their passion and dedication are true.

Kids Read Now does an excellent job of helping children and parents read together at home. Children pick their books and look forward to receiving them in the mail all summer long.

Kids Read Now has really helped my kiddos read. Susan was always a slower reader than Emma, but by allowing her to pick the books she wanted to read, really helped show her the love of reading. Each week, they got super excited to see mail addressed to them. They have both aged out, but now they read their favorite books to their smallest sister. Thanks KRN!!

My son disliked reading so much, it was a fight all the time. Kids Read Now changed that. He would run to the mailbox to look for his latest book to come - he thought of them as presents that he picked out and just had to wait to come. It changed his outlook on reading. He's older now but we go to the bookstore and the library and his eyes light up. Thank you!

Kids Read Now (KRN) is a great organization. My neighbors have a lot of children under 12 years of age and I was able to get them books from KRN. They were so happy to receive the books via postal mail service with their names on the books. Again, great program, and I hope more people support it as my family does.

They mail books that kids choose all summer long to reverse the summer reading slide. My friends grandson hated reading, and struggled in class and at home. His parents didn’t bring books into the house. He started getting books from KRN and read with his grandmother every night. He got much stronger as a reader and his self confidence grew in leaps and bounds.

Kids read Now has a single mission; to eliminate learning loss for K-5 students. They do that by partnering with school districts to implement and manage summer and year-round reading programs that help kids maintain and improve their reading skills. Parental communication, kids keep the books, staff and teachers have little to nothing to do for the program so its easy for them, and the district sees the details with individual student reporting. Kids Read Now is the best option for a student book or reading program for every district.

I have the unique experience of having children participate in Kids Read Now along with eventually working within the organization. I'm grateful for KRN for many reasons, but mostly I'm proud to be part of such a passionate dedicated nonprofit. We all genuinely care about the students we serve, as well as the students we hope to serve. I am happy to continue to work towards getting books into the hands of all children, inspire kids to love to read, and partner with schools to help take the summer reading load off of their teachers.

This past summer was our first opportunity to pilot Kids Read Now in five of the high-needs schools in our district. Many of these schools are in rural areas where access to books is an obstacle to summer reading. Receiving high-quality books in the mail encouraged more shared and independent reading during the summer months, especially due to the fact that the books were chosen by students and their teachers at the end of the school year. Our participation in Kids Read Now was a win-win for everyone involved.

As a parent, I love watching my children race to the mailbox over the summer to see which new books they've received. Once the book was in their hands they wanted to read it right away like it was a new treasure, which was starkly different than the books that were more like torture devices they received during the school year. Kids Read Now made reading FUN over the summer.
However, as a Title One reading teacher, I can not express enough how much I LOVE this program! Over the past several years that we have used the program, I have noticed that our students have not had as much of a decline in their reading levels over the summer as they had before Kids Read Now. In fact, the students usually maintain the reading level from the end of the previous school year or move up one or more reading levels. By providing students with access to books on their level over the summer through the mail, a lot of our students are no longer returning to school with steep declines which take months of instructional time to regain. THANK YOU KIDS READ NOW!

I appreciated that Kids Read Now helped me get quality books at their level into the hands of my students! It's important that kids are reading over the summer and this is a great way to help them do that as well as provide books that they can keep in their homes.

We have been working with Kids Read Now for the last few years to support students transitioning from one school to the next! The program does everything and then some to support students enjoying reading and involving families. We have been very fortunate to partner with them!

Last summer was my first summer having students receive books. I loved the chance for them to get brand new books at their level!

What a great program to encourage the love of reading for our students, especially our kids that don't get to have a lot of their very own new books! Many of our families seemed very receptive and excited about the program. I am extremely excited for my own youngest child to take part in the program next summer! Wish we had this when my oldest two went through! Thanks for helping us to prevent the summer reading slide!
