I have never adopted a kitten/cat from a Rescue Group before, but in August 2021 I decided to take the leap shortly after my two senior cats passed away. I contacted several different Rescue Groups and adopted two kittens from two different groups, one of which was Kattered Tails. The female kitten I adopted elsewhere has had zero problems and only needed a Well Kitten Check-up which she passed with flying colors. The male kitten I adopted from Kattered Tails at a Pet Shop however was not fully vaccinated, still had an underlining URI and Ringworm. All of this was confirmed by our Veterinarian. Within the first week of adopting the Kattered Tails kitten, our Vet bill was over $300. When I contacted Kattered Tails about this issue, they denied it. When I presented them with proof, I never heard back from them again. We love our adopted kitten to death, Kattered Tails not so much.
I recently read about kattered Tails as they have a large number of kittens/cats available for adoption. I was looking to adopt 2 kittens who had a bond. There was a large selection to chose from but once I met Chester and Nacho the search ended. These liter mates were perfect. They were everything we needed. They were obviously very well cared for at the shelter. I’ve never had more loving fun cats. They are extremely social and playful.
I can’t thank Kattered tails enough!
Many thanks! Denise P
We adopted a wonderful tabby for our special needs daughter from Kattered Tails and the adoption process was wonderful and our new cat has been a prized addition to our family. We couldn't be happier
As a board member and an adopter I can truly say that we have the best group of foster in the business. I lost 4 of my own cats this year due to age relate illness, one to vet carelessness. Then one day a foster came in with her kittens for adoption and a cute little kitten named Lefty stole my heart. He was friendly, socialized, happy, healthy and the cutest kitten ever. I fell in love.
Our fosters are the most dedicated group of individuals I have seen. They truly care about the cats and kittens that they care for. They put all they have into their rescue work. They are cat lovers and love what they do! They take everything to heart, and when there are those times when there is a loss they truly feel the pain and grieve. It takes a special kind of person to work in rescue and all of our volunteers and fosters are just that special. I consider them my family as well.
During the sad times of Covid quarantines, I started to notice the sadness in all 3 of my children. They were stuck at home, missing their friends, school, sports, and bored out of their minds. We decided to look for a new furry friend. As soon as I came across the picture of my Charley, I fell in love with her. She has the most beautiful eyes and a personality like no other. I immediately jumped on putting a deposit on her and was put into contact with this group. The gal who fostered her was amazingly helpful and caring. She messages me quite often to check on Charley and really shows that she cares that all of their cats go to good loving homes. The owner also displays the same amount of caring and really is vested into making sure each animal is placed with great homes. We are so in love with our little girl and look forward to watching her grow.
Having never worked with a rescue before I would have to say that from what I've seen of other rescues around the area that catered tales goes above and beyond in helping with the cats and kittens under their care. From ensuring that they are always cared for to buying said products out of their own pocket. I am very grateful to work with such a great group and would definitely recommend them because anything can and will help the cats!
I am a foster for Kattered Tails. I have seen time and time again where the owners of the rescue have gone out of their way to help save injured kittens, find resources to TNR as well, and have paid out of their own pocket thousands of dollars to try and keep saving babies. They need more help from the community then they are receiving in order to continue saving lives.
I had the great fortune to discover Kattered Tails earlier this year. When I began communicating with the rescue, it was clear that this is a labor of love. The attention and care they give to cats in their custody is excellent. We received completed medical records and a host of tips for transitioning two precious kittens into our home. I give Kattered Tails my highest recommendation!
This nonprofit has the animal's best interest at heart and that's all I could ask for. They are responsive, supportive, genuine, and truly care for the animals. I trust them with what they do and will be adopting from them again in the future. I am grateful to have worked with Monica, and had the chance to meet the fosters as well. It's been an amazing experience working with them.
They are a great rescue. When ever someone called about some cats/kittens kattered tails Was always there to help rescue. When the pounds has cats on the E-list kattered tails would make sure those cats would be able to find great homes. I love the passion this rescue has for cats all ages, all sizes, and all attitudes.
I have adopted 2 kittens from kattered tails. When anyone asks where to get a kitten, I say to go to them! Monica is very sweet and helpful. When I pre-adopted my dilute calico, it was going to be a month since she wasn’t ready to be adopted. Monica kept me up to date with pictures and updates on my kitty until I could take her home.
Fantastic organization! We adopted our kitten from Kattered Tails and we couldn't be happier with the whole process. They take amazing care of the animals and they truly love every animal like their own. Highly recommended!
While I serve as the president of Kattered Tails, it's my wife, Monica Colello, who is the driving force behind all the good being done. Despite being physically disabled, she works tirelessly to help kittens and cats find good homes. In addition to fostering cats herself, she manages the rescue's resources, raises funds, assists her other fosters, keeps track of veterinarian's appointments, gives vaccines and tracking chip shots, manages the website katteredtails.com, Facebook, Twitter, and many other things. Her dedication has resulted in hundreds and hundreds of adoptions over the years, with many more to come I'm sure.

This kittens name was Einstein. He was seen by the rescues vet for exam and neutering the week he was adopted. He was in good health and we always clear our cats for adoption first. We provide information regarding URI's because they are the most common issues with rescue cats and kittens after adoption due to stress. As for the ringworm there was no ringworm in the rescue at the time nor in my home. We are all foster based no shelter or cages, the cats and kittens live in our homes. I would have known if there was ringworm it is highly contagious. There was none after his adoption as or in the adoption at the store. The adopter provided none of her vet records to us. Had she called us after Einstein's adoption we would have covered his care at our Vet. She never called but emailed weeks after his adoption. Thank you for allowing me to respond to this review.
