Causes: Women, Womens Service Clubs
Mission: This entity is a voluntary welfare organization which conducts fund raising activities to support numerous other local charities. It also provides volunteers to help the charities carry out their functions. These charities are included in the categories listed in part iii below.
Programs: Grants to seven other charitable organizations involved in youth and family issues;held two "girl power" events attended by approximately 300 sixth grade girls at each event. The first event focused on health and nutrition with activities including zumba, yoga, nutrition demonstrations, dermatology classes, and a community service project of making 200 blankets for project linus. The second event included a 3 course tea, with discussion of how to be a young lady with manner/etiquette demonstration, live classical music, community service training, self-esteem discussion, and a community service project of making hundreds of valentines for hospitalized children and elderly adults. The kids in the kitchen program was also included which promoted healthy eating and cooking for children.

grants to nine other charitable organizations involved in arts and education; held a 5-day summer reading camp designed to promote and inspire literacy in young children. The camp is offered to outgoing 2nd graders who are "at-risk" readers. Each camper is allowed to pick at least 5 new books per day for a collection of 25 books at the end of the week to build their own personal library. The camp and books are free of charge. Lunch, snack and transportation are provided in addition to a camp t-shirt and book bag. Total campers this year were 140 students from the tyler independent school district. Total books given to the campers were 3,500.
