I had recently lost two cats and was grieving my second cat and came across Judy Mann through somebody and she told me she had three kittens that were available that had been born in a safe house because I've been through some emotional distress with my other two Cats passing the one thing I really wanted was healthy kittens as healthy as they could be for adoption in looking at mini mini mini adoption sites they all covered spay and neuter in all three of the kittens shots
She called and said she had gotten these kittens from a neighbor or someone she knew they knew they were safe and we did a quick exchange because of coronavirus at unleashed at Petco up that hill and I noticed a little girl limping terribly let her know that night she said they were probably just roughhousing the next day the girls foot was dragging spent 375 on the cats which is supposed to cover the span neutering but that was gonna be taken care of by her down the line took it to a vet spent another 300 and was told that the kitten had a shattered kneecap she had the nerve to say what did you do to my cat when the vet said that this injury was at least a month old so now I'm thrown into a situation where I have a sick cat again after going through a terrible year of heartbreak over cats
So far I paid for everything she is not help me in anyway I would be very careful when adopting from her I've asked her to just give me the bare minimal I just ended up paying $1000 for spay and neuter in she's going to have to have to have ongoing treatment for a leg that she knew about and never told me when I adopted them of course I love the kitties So I am taking full responsibility I'm retired on a very limited income and when I reached out and asked her to help me with the bare minimum she refuses I would definitely look into other adoption agencies who will actually cover the spay neuter and all the normal things that you get when you go to an adoption I'm grateful that I got these kitties because I don't know what would've happened to them had I not after all who lets a person have a cat with a broken kneecap
Finally this was just my experience with this place so I wish I would've read it ahead of time I probably would've kept going as cute as these kitties are and I love them and they will be my forever kitties and I'll do whatever I can I wish that I could've known this and somebody would've told me ahead of time this threw me in a terrible dilemma financially and she does not seem to care at all Ethically it would've been the right thing to tell me exactly what I was getting into when I adopted them not only that when I called back the next day I was told she got them off craigslist free to a good home so when you are out there looking at agencies do some research do your due diligence pick one that you feel is safe and is going to cover all the costs that are included when you do the great deed of adopting these kitties
