Causes: Employment, Job Training
Mission: To break the cycles of poverty by training, mentoring and developing relationships with people in lower income areas of cincinnati
Programs: 1. Conduct 50 weekly holistic hardware training classes and 12 2 day job readiness seminars. 2. Provide one on one career counseling to 324 new clients. 3. Recruited and trained 67 prison mentors for our step-up program. 4. Meet with agencies and churches and probabtion officers to refer clients to jobs plus for our job readiness/life skills and placement services.
1. Weekly club meetings for our clients where we teach 10 life skills. 2. Placed 105 people in full time jobs. 3. Meet with prospective employers to explain our program so that they will employ our clients/graduates. 4. Worked with several employers helping "coach" certain jobs plus graduates.
1. Develop fundraising letters and appeals for existing and prospective donors. 2. Spoke with several churches in order to receive donations, volunteers and clients. 3. Hold community awareness and fundraising breakfasts. 4. Annual client and volunteer mentor dinner. 5. Met with numerous individual donors.
