Mission: The International Space University (ISU) is an international, interdisciplinary institution, preparing professionals to respond to the current and future demands of the international space sector. Professionals and postgraduates gain an interdisciplinary perspective of space activities enabling them to work in a global context integrating diverse cultural backgrounds. All major space-related disciplines (technical and non-technical) and their interactions are studied; students participate actively in a worldwide network of space professionals and acquire teamwork and other skills. ISU programs prepare for a career move into the space sector or within it, and introduce postgraduates to professions and research opportunities
Programs: ISU offers a 2-month space studies program (SSP) and two 12-month Master's degrees: a Master of Space Studies (MSS) and a Master of Space Management (MSM). The SSP is hosted by an institution in a different country each year. The Masters' Programs are based at the Strasbourg campus, apart from a 12-week professional internship in space organizations and industries around the world. They also include advanced study in all relevant fields and an individual project. In addition, ISU organizes an annual international symposium on a topic of contemporary significance and short courses tailored to the requirements of the customer that commissions them.
