IVC provides an opportunity for myself and the client. It is a benefit to me because I am not able to do physical things to help people out, and helping people is a gift that I can not receive in any other way.
I believe this service is especially great because we can take them to their appointments, wait for them so they feel secure that someone will be there to take them home and if they are going somewhere to purchase merchandise we are able to take all their packages. This service gives them a sense of more independence and shows that someone cares. I believe that IVC is an essential service.
My wife died almost two years ago and I found that I needed something to occupy my time that would be fulfilling, not only to myself but to others. I came across Interlink Volunteer Caregivers and it was an answer to my prayers. I find that through this organization I receive much more than I give as to my time and effort.
Your meet some of the most interesting people in the transports and it allows you to lend an ear and emotional support to those in need. Again they give much more to me and I to them.
I have been a volunteer driver for approximately 5 months. I am able to drive when it fits my schedule and usually drive 2-3 times per week. I retired from a 40 year banking career 6 years ago and needed something to do besides playing golf! I enjoy meeting new people and helping them get to their medical appointments. No matter how bad a person feels when I pick them up, they are so appreciative. Many have no family in the area to help them and most are lonely. I enjoy visiting with the people and am sure I get much more out of this job than I am giving. It is truly good for one’s soul
I volunteer for Interlink Volunteers and have been able to give rides and provide a bit of mental and emotional support to the clients. This is a service where not only the client but also the volunteer benefits. Truly a great organization! The staff is incredibly caring!
I have been driving for over 9 months now and truly enjoy this experience. The people i have interacted with have all been so grateful and pleasant. This is truly a great service.
With a service organization like this it is only possible with a support team. One support person that stands out is Tonya who is just a fabulous person. She is always patience with the volunteers and clients. I really like being able to take a week off to do some traveling and she notes it the files/calendar. How she keeps everything organized is amazing and wonderful.
IVC is an amazing local non-profit.
They provided transport for me when I desperately needed it. I am a single elderly woman and there are times when my daughters are unable to drive me to my appointments. I can always count on the wonderful staff and volunteers.
We are so lucky to have this valuable service in our community. I can't imagine what so many would do if we didn't have this program to depend on.
Thank You IVC!
I've had the opportunity to work with IVC for several years now. Very helpful, courteous, professional, and a pleasure to work alongside such a great organization and people. Keep up the great work!
This organization is an incredible resource for our region. The people are professional, caring and committed. Many of the volunteers give of their time and service to those who are disadvantaged and in need of transportation services to their doctor, dialysis, cancer treatments, etc. The drivers wait for each client to finish their appointment without leaving them without a ride home. I know many individuals who use IVC and have been so thankful they are a free resource, and one they can count on. The director is professional, outgoing, and committed to their mission to serve those in need. The board addresses their mission statement as a commitment to serve our citizens.
This organization is one of the best in the valley. I have been a volunteer for many many years and the people we help are very grateful for our service. They are more than people to us, they are family. we drive them to Dr. appt, to the grocery store or wherever they need to be. When we lose one it is like losing a family member. I feel truly blessed to be doing this. I have gained so many friends. We have been know to take someone else that we did not transport to their Dr. appt home from their Dr. appt, while we are waiting for our person to get done, when they have been waiting for 2 hrs. for their ride to pick them up and they have been a no show.

I love volunteering for IVC. You meet the nicest people that need help with their Doctor visits, grocery shopping or what ever else they are in need of. So many live alone and can’t get out without our assistance. The joy I see on their faces is a blessing to me. I have made many friends through the years. I Pray that when I am in need this organization will still be available. If you have a heart for helping others this is the place to do so. You can donate your time or your money
This is a wonderful non-profit service that has provided a ride for my mom in the past years when I was unable to or overwhelmed. I now serve as a volunteer when I can. I have made a person's whole day when they needed a ride to the Dr.! It isn't just a ride, it's a time that affords this person a conversation and compassion. I am so pleased for IVC and all that they represent in our community! The need for more volunteers is vast.
IVC is a God send. They help so many people like my grandma get to appointments and such. I truly don’t know what we would do with out them!!
My mom is 86 and has lived independently in her home until very recently when she had a fall and could no longer drive. I live and work out of state so I can't be there for more than a week or two at a time to help out but I did find IVC to take my mom to her doctor appointments. The help they provide allows my mom to continue to live in her home and have that independent lifestyle, to whatever extent possible, as she recovers. IVC tries very hard to keep the same volunteer so that they can build a relationship.
Thank you Interlink. Your work is awesome and very appreciated by both my mom and myself. You should also know that my mom has talked about wanting to be a volunteer herself someday.
IVC has helped me become independent since I moved here. The volunteers and Tanya are absolutely amazing and do their best to accommodate my appointment needs.
I am a volunteer at IVC. I began driving clients in October. I really enjoy meeting the people I take to appointments and/or errands. They are the most interesting and fun people. There is such a need for people that can help those that do not have their own transportation. And I am finding that the clients are actually helping me. I am getting out of the house and getting the socialization I would not normally get if I were just staying home. So consider volunteering with IVC. It's well worth it for everyone involved!
I have the great pleasure of setting up the transports as well as transporting some of our local clients. I have never had the pleasure of being part of such a meaningful, caring organization as IVC. I work closely with every volunteer we have and every single one of them are the most kind, dedicated, and empathic people i have ever met. the clients I talk to hold a special place in my heart. I do not know what most of the clients would do with out this service.
When my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer, we had to get her to many treatment and doctor appointments. Unfortunately, she was very weak and couldn't walk up and down our steps any longer. A coworker told me about Interlink Volunteer Caregivers, so I went and spoke with them about a wheelchair ramp. They were so friendly and understanding, and had a gentleman at our home within a few days measuring for supplies they would need to build the ramp. He came to build it a few days later and it was completed in a morning. Having this ramp was such a great help! They really were there for us in our time of need. I will always remember their kindness that helped us through such a hard time.
I have volunteered for IVC for many years. I have always enjoyed helping others, and when I learned of this program, I was there to help wherever I was needed. I'm glad I can drive these dear people to their appointments and errands. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories. We need more people to volunteer!
I have been a volunteer for Interlink Volunteer Caregivers for 5+ years. This experience has been very gratifying. It makes me happy to be able to help the community and especially the elderly. There is a real need for transportation for our elderly to get to medical appointments on time and with little or no expense as most of them are on very limited budgets.
The ones I transport are so appreciative and grateful as I am sure they all are. Transporting is not all IVC does and I hope they can continue to help the elderly.
We always need volunteers also.

I'm 78 years old and I quit driving last February because I couldn't see very well and I didn't want to cause any accidents. Since then I've been using the services offered by IVC. And they are wonderful. Cathy Keever is the one who usually takes me and I just can't say enough good things about her. Another lady who lives in Buhl took me one time too, and she was really nice. I can't remember her name. Thank you so much for every thing you do for me.
I am a RN in a hospital based clinic and have come to really appreciate IVC. We have several patients that rely completely on IVC for transportation to medical appointments , and the IVC driver has always been reliable, kind, and efficient. Occasionally an appointment is extended due to the need to obtain labs or x-rays during the visit, and that has never been an issue with IVC. Attending regularly scheduled appointments makes a huge difference in overall quality of care because problems can be quickly identified and follow up provided in a timely manner. Reliable transportation through IVC helps patients receive much needed medical care. So grateful for this excellent service!
I work at a local hospital in the Care Management department. Our office assists patients in obtaining transportation for their medical appointments. We love working with IVC! We can always count on them to provide reliable transportation for our patients in need. We have several patients who entirely depend on IVC for transportation to medical appointments; otherwise, they would not be able to attend their appointments. Therefore, IVC transportation is extremely vital for these patients to access the healthcare they need. All of the staff at IVC are exceptionally caring, friendly, and helpful. They work diligently to secure transportation for our patients. They provide extraordinary care and assistance in everything they do! Additionally, Ann (our local IVC volunteer driver) is always very dependable for our patients. Ann provides exceptional care and compassion to our patients, and they have expressed sincere appreciation for everything she does for them! Our patients have also expressed their immense gratitude for IVC and for their wonderful care and valiant efforts in providing transportation to their appointments. THANK YOU VERY MUCH to everyone at IVC! :)
I am so thankful for this service. I am legally blind and can't drive any longer. Without their help I would not be able to attend all of my appointments for my health care needs. I have health issues and I have numerous appointments every month. They are always available to help me get to my appointments on time and the drive safely. The drivers and kind and understanding. If you are looking for somewhere to donate please consider this valuable service.
My husband has dementia and he was sent home after a back injury. He's much larger than I am and I was so worried about how I'd help him on/off the toilet and in/out of the shower. My kids recommended I try calling IVC about having grab bars installed. They were there the same day and did a great, clean job. I am still able to drive, but I know that if I couldn't, I could rely on IVC.
Absolutely love this organization! As a social worker who helps patients problem-solve and plan transportation to and from life-saving treatment, I can say without hesitation that many of our patients would not make it to their appointments if it weren't for IVC and their amazing volunteers!

IVC is truly a blessing for our community! I became a board member for this amazing organization after I began working as an oncology social worker and realized how many of our patients would have no way to attend their necessary treatments without IVC's services. Not only have they made my job easier, but they have, quite literally, been instrumental in saving countless lives by providing transportation when appointments would have been missed otherwise. The staff and volunteers are angels in my book and I hope that we never have to know a day that IVC is not in operation!
They are always there when you need them . I am totally disabled I was so lucky when a friend told me that this company will pick you up and take you to your doctors and appointment you have. Over the last five years they have always worked tirelessly to make sure I’m there in a safe and timely manner. They lift my spirits and always make me feel cared for I would recommend this company to anyone I know that you so much interlink
The Interlink Volunteer Caregivers (IVC) service has been invaluable for many seniors and disabled persons in the Twin Falls area, providing volunteer transportation and home safety modifications for those wanting to live independently at their homes. With more of the baby-boomer era reaching advanced age, increased health issues and inability to drive themselves, the IVC services are even more necessary to support and have available in the Magic Valley area.
The stoppage of the College of Southern Idaho and the Idaho Transportation Department providing public transportation through Trans IV service is also putting more need to find other transportation services. IVC is receiving increasing requests from Magic Valley residents to fill in temporarily, yet they have limited resources to do so. IVC needs additional volunteers and financial support to expand their reach to those that can no longer use the Trans IV service. Jeanette Roe, Executive Director of IVC, is very passionate about the IVC organization and would like to expand their capabilities to meet the additional needs of the area.

I have volunteered with Interlink Volunteer Caregivers for many years. I really enjoy meeting the various people who I transport to medical appointments, grocery shopping and other important activities. Everyone has a story to tell and it's always so interesting to hear each person's story as I'm driving them. Also, they always comment on how appreciative they are of the invaluable service that IVC provides.
The people at IVC who arrange the transportation for each client are so organized and that really makes for a smooth and efficient organization. I love being a part of IVC!
I have volunteered for Interlink Volunteer Caregivers as one who installs grab bars in bathrooms and builds wheel chair ramps and installs handrails both inside and outside the home. Not only is there a real satisfaction in building and helping people but because of my interaction with the client I also get to know a little about them. Everyone has a story and it is fun to hear theirs. The last two clients have served me coffee and cookies. What a treat.
As a longtime resident of the Magic Valley, I have been aware of Interlink Volunteer Caregivers but did not understand the impact of their services until I started working in the office. Daily calls come in requesting rides to medical appointments, grocery and medical supply shopping, and installation of ramps or handrails. One service that is given without request is the human contact that so many people are lacking.
When making calls to confirm rides, IVC clients express their appreciation for the services from IVC, how much it is needed, and how wonderful the volunteer drivers are. Many drivers have been called "Angels".
For me IVC has proven the services provided are much needed in our Twin Falls community.

I am the service coordinator for an older adults' low-income housing complex in Twin Falls. I have many residents utilize the wonderful services of IVC. Residents rave about the volunteers, and how helpful, friendly, and patient they are. Many of our residents would not be able to make it to doctor appointments, shopping, or taking their animals in for needed care without the assistance of the IVC volunteers. I wish there were more agencies like IVC in our area!
This is an absolutely wonderful nonprofit and they really care about everyone they help. The transports are always very thankful as well.
This nonprofit saves lives at no cost to the recipient of the service. Without IVC many would have to forego cancer treatment, go without Rx medicines, or even groceries. While I sit on the board, my family has also received services and know of the service provided firsthand.
IVC provided grab bars in my parents home the SAME DAY we requested it, which was the day my father was released from the hospital. We know that can't be the norm, but it was remarkable nonetheless. It is heartwarming and mindblowing that a selfless nonprofit like this truly exists. Thank you IVC for what you do for those in need in our community.
I have been aware and somewhat involved with IVC for many years.
I have seen first hand how the program helps home-bound friends. Not everyone has family or friends close to help them.
IVC is there for so many who are in need and that is why I donate!
It just feels good~

IVC stepped right up and transported me when I fractured my tibia. I do not drive and live on a small fixed income so taxi's were not a affordable option for me.
The staff was very kind and supportive. The volunteer that drove me was actually the President of the Board and we really enjoyed getting to know each other.
I do not know what I would have done without this amazing local nonprofit organization!
THANK YOU IVC!

What a great organization to help people with their daily lives. From getting rides to their appointments to having ramps built to accommodate any mobility issues. Keep up the good work.
I have recently retired and have found that driving people to their appointments, who can no longer do this is very fulfilling. The expectations for the job are very well lined out.
Twin Falls County has a golden resource, most valuable, which cannot be lost for lack of funding. Jeanette Roe is the Director of a program by the name of "Interlink Volunteer Caregivers", also known as IVC. If you have a loved one, parent, grandparent or other family, whom do not have the ability to drive themselves to doctor appointments, grocery shopping and other activities of daily living which require a person to be mobile, there is a free service provided by the compassionate volunteers at IVC, a rare resource in most communities. It is commendable that Twin Falls County supports this program. If not for this Program your loved ones would be forced into assisted living, or would be homebound relying on working class family members to take off work to get them to their vital appointments. Jeanette is a no nonsense, practicable leader who knows how to manage funds and help some of the most vulnerable members of the community.
Sincerely

This agency is invaluable for our vulnerable senior population in providing needed transportation and aiding persons to remain in their homes to "age in place". The director is professional and makes themselves available to share their knowledge and experience in building a thriving volunteer base.
Thank you to all the volunteers in the agency that serve our elders in our community.
Many people have been kind and helpful to me throughout my life. I feel the need to return kindness and decided to volunteer for InterLink Volunteer Caregivers this last Spring. I helped out in the office and it is my pleasure to get to know the Director, Jeanette Roe. She is second to none in her ability write grants and encourage the community to, "Give the Gift of Home", for people who have lost the ability drive to their doctor appointments and maintain normal activities, such grocery shopping, to name only a few of IVC services they offer free of charge. The volunteer drivers who are able to transport clients are amazing and give countless hours to those in need.
The ladies at IVC are doing phenomenal work for our community and I'm very proud and humbled to be able to volunteer for them. The personal satisfaction that I get when helping others through IVC is immeasurable. Bottom line: We need more Jeannettes and Pennys in the world!
This volunteer agency is doing so much good for our community. I have just started volunteer driving and whenever other people in the community find out what I'm doing, the first thing out of their mouth is "OH, you are an angel. That service is so needed."
I love being able to contribute to those who need this service. MAKES MY DAY!
I have been a volunteer for Interlink Volunteer Caregivers for many years. I transport people to their Doctors appt, grocery shopping and help them with things they need. I have met and made friends with so many wonderful people here in Magic. Valley.
Interlink Volunteer Caregivers is nothing short of transformative! Because of this community supported, non duplicated, needs based volunteer organization, individuals for over two decades have been able to stay independent in their own homes, where they want to be because of the services provided by IVC. Once stated by a local banker "Interlink Volunteer Caregivers is the best bang for the buck" when it comes to stretching community dollars. Fixes over the years: roofs that no longer leak, toilets put into place, wheelchair ramps built, critical medical, as well as socialization transportation, lawn maintenance, friendly visits and phone calls for human connectivity, railings and grab bars installed, and so many other needs of the chronically ill, elderly and disabled citizens in south central Idaho. IVC has been a lifeline to hundreds if not thousands of individuals over the past 27 years! ALL lives matter...and always have to IVC and it's board members and community supporters! There is no better organization in the Valley for helping people remain independent in their own homes at no cost to the individual! God bless IVC!!
IVC is a team of caring volunteers, committed to helping people stay living where they're happiest, in their homes, through giving of time and providing transportation.
We at the CSI Office on Aging continue having a Transportation and Chore Contract with Interlink Volunteer Caregivers (IVC). We provide monies to IVC to provide vital rides to homebound seniors who are elderly, non wheel chair disabled and chronically ill. IVC operates with minimum staff (a Director and one staff person). The dedicated and trained volunteer workforce has been able to adequately handle the increasing volume of individuals seeking program services for transportation and home safety modifications like wheelchair ramps, handrails, and grab bars. IVC's Board with the strong leadership of the Executive Director, Jeanette Roe, has committed to serve those who need the "Access to Healthcare" and other essential services by fulfilling their mission of "Giving the Gift of Home" to so many so they can remain living independently in their homes as long as possible without being isolated from their families and community. Their program services are FREE to those who are the most vulnerable and have limited family or financial resources. IVC is often the last resort for their clients to remain living at home.
I have been involved with Interlink Volunteer Caregivers (IVC) for eight years as a transportation volunteer, Board of Director's member and Interim Executive Director. I have an "upfront and personal" view of this outstanding organization and the work that is done. I can assure prospective donors that every dollar is spent with utmost care; always focused on the community members being served. The volunteer "workforce" is an amazing group who give of themselves without reservation. As I continue in my role of transportation volunteer, I see first hand the impact that is made on the lives of those we serve. Quite often, IVC is their saving grace since they don't have the ability to drive. I am proud of my involvement in this organization.
I had a couple that needed to get to their vaccine appointment today, they are unable to drive. So, I started off by calling the Senior Citizens Center for direction, they sent me to the Office of Aging, and they gave me the phone number to Interlink Volunteer Caregivers. I called them, their message said that they usually need 48 hours notice to help with rides, but, I left a message anyway. Within an hour, Penny called me back and was so happy to help. She asked for a little bit of information about the couple and said she would call me right back, and she did! With a ride for my couple that needed to get their vaccines, their appointment was within the hour!
She was truly happy to help! I am so grateful for her willingness to help this couple on such a short notice and for the driver that was willing to come and take them!
IVC is an amazing community resource and partner. I have worked as an oncology social worker for over 10 years now and IVC has been an integral part of making sure our patients can access care in a safe, comfortable, and timely manner. They are prompt in their responses and work diligently to get client's needs met. The volunteers are amazing and offer not only rides, but support and a feeling of camaraderie to our patients. Our community would be at a loss without IVC!! Thank you so much for all you do!

I become involved with IVC many years ago because I heard what a difference it made in so many people lives.
Our elderly, disabled, and chronically ill individuals are often forgotten. Providing the "Gift of Home" allows our clients to remain independent in their own home with dignity.
And because of our compassionate volunteers, who give their time to transport people to medical appointments/essential errands, build wheelchair ramps, and install grab bars/handrails, our clients are able to remain in their homes as long as possible.
I can't fully explain the joys that IVC has brought to my life and countless others. What a beacon of light in our community.
I have been associated with the Interlink Volunteer Caregivers for over 15 years. As the County EM it is critical to know your partners who can support those in our community during a incident or disaster. IVC can be counted on to support the needs our most vulnerable population - elderly, non wheel chair disabled, and chronically ill individuals who need transportation to access health care and essential services.
