Mission: InLiquid.com is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to expanding opportunities and exposure for visual artists while serving as a freely-accessible hub for arts information. By providing the public with immediate access to view the portfolios of over 240 artists via the world wide web, through "real world" activities and exhibitions with partner organizations, and through an extensive online body of timely art information -- including gallery listings, articles, reviews, artist resources, links, and discussions -- InLiquid hopes to bring to light the richness of our region?s art activity and broaden audiences for all forms of visual art.
Target demographics: Visual artists, art lovers, and art professionals in Philadelphia and beyond
Programs: Online programming: *Portfolios and credentials of over 260 member artists*Comprehensive, in-depth information on all visual arts activities in the greater Philadelphia region (including NY).*Special online exhibitions and features on work by guest artists/organizations.*Opportunities and resources section for visual artists and art professionals.*Free weekly e-newsletter sent to over 2500 subscribers, providing a guide to all visual arts activities in the region. *Critical reviews and essays section representing a variety of guest writers.Venue-based programming: *Exhibition series at Painted Bride Art Center of work by member artists.*Special exhibitions at guest venues. *Artist member gatherings and curator nights, providing an opportunity for community interaction in an agenda-free setting.*"Art for the Cash Poor," presented each summer, offering artists the opportunity to sell low-priced work directly to the public. *Annual fundraising events: Winterfest, featuring an ice-carving contest; Silent Auction benefit (fall), presenting works of over 250 artists; and Spring Benefit Exhibition, focusing on the intersection of fine art and design.
