Mission: The ifa foundation through its ola olu spiritual retreat, workshops, books and english and spanish language websites provides education and service facilities to educate the public regarding the ancient african philosophy of ifa. We create and maintain the only complete sacred orisha gardens in the western hemisphere open to the public at no charge. A new program for inmate education has been initiated with the hiring of a full time editor for the project volunteer. Our books and materials are used to speak at colleges and universities and to conduct on premises education of classes and students. This only representation of the sacred gardens, previously represented and available only in oshgbo in nigeria, and recognized by professor robin poynor, of the university of florida, continued to thrive and grow. Now with the completion of the 40 foot onile, and the 80 foot labyrinth, the gardens have grown to over 22 life size, unique sculptures. . . All with their own individuality and purpose. These webinars, a product of cisco,inc. , are currently held on wednesday evenings in two sessions of 50 people at each session who participate in interactive conversation and teaching of the philosophy. Other endeavors include a saturday session devoted to the initiated or knowledgeable individuals looking to increase their understanding of ifa.
